Totally agree with you on that mate, Oakey would take the fight no doubt, just a question of money IMO. It'll take a few quid for fighters to box Bellew right now, he's as dangerous an opponent as any at European level and we know how promoters like to protect their earners dont we!!!!

 

Gone are the days where the best need to fight the best to progress. There's to many options for fighters now. Just gotta keep doin what you do Tony.

 

I am pretty sure Bellew has stated Oakey turned the fight down with him.

 

think Francis is retired. he certainly cant make light heavy anymore.

really hope the Ovil McEnzie fight happens.

Maloney comments on the altercation

"He has been offered a fight with Bellew in March, but it isn't happening. Ovill is after the British title."
Bellew's ringside behaviour during McKenzie's victory over Boyle has caused anger in the Prizefighter cruiserweight winner's camp.

"Bellew was out of order with his aggressive cut throat gestures and should know better than to behave like that towards another professional," added Maloney.

"Ovill should have been enjoying his moment of glory, but had to put up with the sort of behaviour seen in American gangster films.

"What has Ovill done wrong to upset Bellew in the past?

"His antics has made sure the fight doesn't happen for now. I hope Bellew can dwell on the incident now and realise he was wrong."

Tony Oakey was offered but couldn't do it as he had a previous engagement already done with McIntosh!! I know for a fact Tony oakey would fight anyone!! The guys a true warrior and I believe Ovil is the same.. My gesture was done at Maloney too not Ovil!! I told him I'll do his man,

Im not the type to disrespect fighters, I just plain don't like Maloney and he don't like me!! The guy knows I'll beat his fighter and that's all it boils down to in the end, I guarentee he'd let him fight Courtney Fry for the title so why not let him fight me?? I personally think he's gonna be very badly avoided now that he's done that to Billy Boyle so here is 1 guy who's begging to fight him,give him a good pay day and also have a title on the line, How much more does the garden knome want???

Sorry guys but this fight is now dead in the water as the garden knome has completly said NO!! Ovil had agreed terms as had myself but the dwarf has put an end to it and made sure you all miss out on an exciting fight..:-(

That's a real ****ing shame. Have you got any other opponents lined up? I think if you can't get any British fighters into the ring with you, you should ask Warren to get some good euro/int'l oppo over.

Would Carl Dilks step up ?? i know its a weight bracket higher than his last fight but i have read hes moving up .... I like Dilks he looks a good allround boxer and was really unlucky not to get the decision against Adamu ...
