I want Abraham to win but I can picture Direll going backwars using his speed and reach advanteg to pot shot his way to a win. That said I dont think he'll be able to hold a properly full bloodied shot from AA so it could get turned around at ant moment
Maybe he won't be the only one. Such a run through of tough competitors, could take a sizable toll on every guy. Pavlik and Bute are glad they're not in this tournament when it's over. Taylor basically had the whole world try and talk him into retiring and Kessler took a massive hit in what people think he has left. In the words of the great Samuel Peter ....Hoo Nexsh?!
the other thing that just struck me is that Dirrell didnt like the ruff stuff when Froch tried it on AA can fight ruff and dirty - im stil leaning to an AA Win
Kessler was overated, Taylor was finished before fighting AA, and I would rather put Bute and Pavlik in this tournament then Taylor & Dirrell as I think they would have better chances to win than them. Hell Pavlik and AA could've fought had Super Six wanted Kelly. No offense but it's just how I feel.
Stylistically, this is probably the worst match up you can come up with in the Super Six. Hopefully I'm wrong, but this has cat and mouse snoozefest written all over it.
who has dirrel beaten or what has he done?!?! he shouldn't be in this tourny, should of gt more experence, i really don't get where he will win UD, AA will start slow and let him run, but AA will put more pressure on him in the middle rounds which Froch can't do, AA win late KO or UD
I like Dirrell, quick and Sharp. I think he will have learnt from his previous fight and I expect him to be more thorough. I think he possesses great foot movement contrary to those who think he runs. I appreciate real boxing skill in the context of stick and move style he posesses than the one dimensional and predictable nature of Froch and to a certain extent Abraham.
Abraham gets him out in 10. Although this will be his toughest fight yet probably so I think Dirrell has a real chance to win a UD.
Agreed. I hope Abe & his team are watching tapes and I hope he can remain patient in the ring & cut the ring off. Then, proceed to knock the grease of this dude.
I'm thinking Dirrell by decision: his hand/foot speed, plus reach and height advantage should frustrate AA a lot, while Dirrell snipes at him with long shots when he opens up. I think Dirrell is sneaky enough with his speed and angles to get under and around AA's guard.
Well who has AA beaten or what has he done then? Much more then Dirrel, true, I know. But so far his biggest win was against a very limited (and shot) Taylor. AA is a very smart, AND powerful fighter and I can see him KO'ing Dirrel with a bomb. But my take is Dirrel on points.
