who wins do u guys think

first fight sugar ray got dragged into a brawl and lost thanks to duran's impeccable will and determination ...the rematch sugar ray fought his own fight and frustrated a less focused and probably a less fitter duran

but if you put the head to head version of 1 vs 2

the duran who wouldnt give up, who imposed his heart on leonard....vs the leonard who refused to be bullied by duran, who used brains instead of brawn

    who would win ?

Duran of Montreal would win every time. He was far too determined. If it's any other version of Duran, I pick Leonard by points.

Duran every time all day & all night 24/7 so please!! enough of this bull**** about Leonard being dragged into a brawl & not fighting his fight as thats absolute apologist crap:deal Duran outboxed/outfought & outthought Leonard in Montreal & the Leonard of New Orleans would have been KTFO by a Montreal Duran as Leonard fought scared as he was mentally damaged goods after the thrashing he took at the hands of the smaller/older man who by all sense of purposes should have been in the twighlight of his career after 71 fights & 29 years of age:bbb

It's a no contest, the running dog gets ****in wiped out by Duran:smoke

OK!!! now it's over too those 2 ESB resident "Know ****-all" wankers who were both badly beaten up in their youth by duran fans "Pachilles:tired & Mag1968:tired

He ran like the ****in dog he is & against a weight ****ed opponant at that:deal

Montreal saw Leonard get dominated by only the 2nd Lightweight in History & the 1st in 50 years to win the WW crown you foreskin sucking simpleton:deal You're just another Michael Jackson fan who'se consumed with hero worship to make up for the lack of spine in admitting to the fact yer hero was a fraud:smoke

Leonard back then was castigated by the press for his cowardly defencsive antics during the fight. He was the bigger man & he ****in ran + i doubt you've even seen the fight except for the 7th round, you're no mainstream boxing fan:nono you're a rubberneck celeb chaser:deal

Even Janks Morton didn't think Ray could beat Duran after Montreal. SRL would always lose to Duran in a first time affair.

Montreal Duran would have decisioned Big (SL)Easy Ray on aggression alone. SRL simply could not hurt him, could not dent his chin. Roberto showed early in Montreal that he did have the power to seriously stun the bigger man. Ray was using his legs a bit more in New Orleans than he did in Canada, yet it wasn't a complete blowout on the scorecards when El Cholo took his guaranteed eight million and tanked. Montreal Duran would have overtaken him in the championship rounds to gain another close but unanimous verdict.
