Seen in a recent interview with FoxSports that Mayweather mentioned Mosley having trouble with boxers.

Floyd said that Cotto outboxed him, Winky Wright beat him with one hand, and Forrest outboxed.

What is the general take on Mosley vs. Boxers ... is boxing the legit way to beat Mosley?

guess what Floyd would have problems too if he fought Vernon and Winky.

On Mosley i think thats a legit statement, it just goes back to styles making fights though, Shane is not really a boxer as some like to label him, his speed disguises him as a boxer but he's more of a fast brawler.

Its really not rockett science though, people that come straight to Shane with no set up will always get beat and he's always had a problem with a legit jab, thats why i'm withholding judgement on just how much effect Nazim has had on him because IMO he beats Margarito even with Jack in his corner, he just gets hit a whole lot more.

on a sidenote: i've always thought Floyd vs Cory would've been a interesting fight, maybe its just me?

    Keyword: "was"

Because Oscar only had the left hand he was exposed and given a lesson at the end of the night. Last time I checked Floyd Mayweather was 40-0 a streak spanning since 1996 and he's been on the world class "elite" level consistantly since 1998. Come May Floyd will officially have 7 championships to his credit and depending on if Pacquiao takes the fight will have 8 championships and 2-legitamit welterweight championships.

Oscar isn't a boxer and never was ... he was a pucher with fast hands, who fought flat footed and didn't know how to properly use his right hand.

Is that because he would be swimming WHILE getting wet?

The Floyd-Cory fight would have came off had Cory beaten Jermain Taylor. Floyd definitely would have made the move north to win the middleweight crown.

Anyways, yes Mosley has significant trouble with guys that box effectively and give him angles. I mean, when Ricardo Mayorga did it, Mosley was in jeopardy of losing the fight until the KO. I expect Mayweather to employ a strong artillery of jabs and crosses with a lot of lateral movement.

No disrespect to Winky but Winky is like Oscar and someone like an Antonio DeMarco ... not comparing careers but all three guys alike were limited in the arsenal ... Winky didn't have any power in the left hand and threw a ton of jabs to make up for it ... the same goes for the other two fighters. And you see what happens when they get exposed for not being able to use both hands. The dominate hand gets taken away and the rest results in a loss.

So Floyd is basically saying that Mosley is tailor made for him. An easy style matchup

Thats the same **** that people always criticize Pacquiao of

I don't think that Floyd would've had any trouble with Winky or Forrest (R.I.P) ... he's too skilled. Forrest would probably equal his biggest challenge of the two but the results will always be the same ... Floyd Mayweather still undefeated

Mosley struggles against a long, strong jab. Most boxers do, but for a guy seemingly so skilled, it's a surprisingly glaring weakness.

Oscar 223 wins 6 losses as an amatuer and an olympic gold medal....

And somehow he still can't box...
    Fascinating insight.

Shane has trouble with boxers, but it´s not one single thing that´s effective in beating him. You could outboxed Shane but you would have to break his rythm a lot, and one of the best ways to do this is using the jab.
