I thought that when someone SERIOUSLY considered making people get licensed to use the internet it was a joke. I'm reconsidering it now. :yep http://www.interesting-people.org/archives/interesting-people/201002/msg00010.html
It is always a telling clue when people try to suggest that Winky beating McKart means McKart was some bum. Wright and McKart were two of the very best guys at 154 during those years. Prime Winky would beat Williams or Martinez, and McKart might lose, but would be comptetive. It is also somewhat laughable to see posters bad mouth McKart and than try to give Martinez credit for beating Bunema. It was McKart's win over a peak Bunema that set up the third Winky fight.
No sound from Pauls camp--almost 2 months now--not a peep since Pavlik and Arum stood center ring and openly made fun of the so called, "most feared fighter". This is fact.
He did it after the possibility of a fight fell through. And this is so typical of a Pav fan. To think it's so big and bad to call out a guy who is clearly two weight classes below him, even after the guy tried to fight him three times. Isn't he the Middleweight Champ? WTF are you talking about?
You mean the 3rd Winky loss!! It's funny how you and Hermit pick and choose what you wanna respond too!!! When something of a joke is posted your quick to try and disect and discredit the poster as if it was trully serious yet when a serious point is brought up you all of a sudden have "writers block"!! Kermit you can't say anything to me!:yep
Great fight for Kelly. I can't wait to see it. Hopefully he has all of his old problems worked out and we can see the Kelly of old.
Pavlik probably understands that if he beats Williams he'll be criticized for beating a WELTERWEIGHT. At least Sergio is close to 160... I want to see Williams Vs. Pavlik as well, but Martinez imo is a tougher fight for Pavlik. I like Pavlik, but it's about time Martinez gets a big win instead of taking the shaft every damn time...
The Cintron fight wasn't close... and I can see how you could score the fight for Williams but I was more impressed with Martinez's accuracy and cleaner, harder punches. Your a big Paul Williams fan of course but you can easily explain a Williams scorecard if you give props to his workrate and effective agression. It was a close fight but at least we both agree that Martinez beats Pavlik!
