Roy just picked up his vacated titles, and danced around the usa claiming he was a champion. Trying to force the really owner of those titles to come half way across the world in roys backyard to take them back?? No, DM did not want to come to America to fight Roy, and Roy did not want to go abroad to fight him... There was not blatant ducking.
The ONLY reason Roy got The Ring belt was because the WBA and IBF stripped DM and Roy got the trinket belts. So he had the WBC, WBA, IBF and was given The Ring belt based on this. He then dropped the WBC then decided he wanted it back and the rest is history lawsuit which the WBC of course lost etc. Jones was a scrap belt collector. Nothing more.
