I am posting those DVD's too you this friday by the way. Sorry for the delay, been busy. Anyways, I just meant holding wins over prime Pacquiao and Barrera is spectacular for his resume. I've always said the first fight and second fight could of gone even way, I credit him for a well earned victory in 2000. In any event, I wouldn't consider ranking Zarate above Morales like so many posters do. I've given that enough thought already.
Thanks man, much appreciated. Cool. I don't think it was a spectacular win by any stretch of the imagination, but I agree it's a very good name that contributes to a very strong resume by contemporary standards.
prime pacquiao? Nah... pacquiao was a one-dimensional fighter then. There's the thing, It was pacquiao who beat and dominated a prime barrera who morales can not beat with ease
It's not the best fight to see of him as it's a losing effort at the end of his reign but I believe the entire 15 rounder with Pintor is up on youtube if you're interested in finding it. It doesn't really showcase Zarate who I think was having trouble making weight but it's a full fight to see. Not bad.
:good:good:good I have seen both fights the other week and both were close (out of the three Barrera did better) , I think a great fight with another ATG is better than a dominant win over a good boxer.
Yey i agree that Barrera was just a tad better. Barrera won deserved the first fight Morales deserved the 2nd fight. Barrera rightfully won the 3rd in semi- close but convincing win.
Mike Tyson greater than Erik Morales? Don't think so, buddy. Resume, longevity, and achievements all belong to the Mexican in that argument. I 'spose a list that has Terry Norris in the top 30 fighters of all time isn't worth **** anyway.
1. Carlos Zarate 2. Jake LaMotta 3. Mike Tyson 4. Erik Morales 5. Felix Trinidad Although Tyson and Morales can be interchangeable, theres no doubt with the first 2 and the last spot...
