I would love love love LOVE James Toney vs Chuck.....

    LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!! lol....

nah, im not a fan of these two sports mixing like this....

MMA is always for the old guys from other sports who cant make it in their anymore but know they can make a splash in mma, i suppose its a paycheck, and their taking less punishment overall, but i just dont like ex champions going to mma to get tapped out and things like that...

But id be down for a Toney vs Chuck fight lol, thats about the only one...

James should probably retire or box a little more. But him calling out Dana White is still entertaining.

This makes me sad. Toney doesn't have to do that MMA stuff. And he doesn't have to prove us anything anymore.

James Toney is a legend, he's an ATG and one of the very best of his era. The last true old-school fighter.

The day James finally retires will be a sad day for boxing, but after thinking it over my opinion is that he should retire. He can't get a meaningful fight, he's getting older, and he's punchdrunk (he is - Toney always gnawed his words, but he spoke twice as fast and more fluidly only a couple years ago. Compare these recents vids with some vids from 2005 and you'll hear the difference). This MMA stuff won't do **** for his (already great) legacy.

But you know, the man is a born warrior and just loves to fight... I just hope he doesn't take serious damage...

Another thing that makes me sad is that now that Toney wants to enter MMA, he's suddenly getting media coverage again. When he was calling out boxers nobody wanted to hear from him (with some exceptions). Toney is one of the few HWs left who's fun and who got personality, as you can see he can entertain people in such sport shows - and he's a US HW. Why didn't they start such a campaign with him calling out David Haye or Chris Arreola every single day? I'm sure he would've got another big boxing fight that way.

I echo frosts sentiments that was pretty sad watching a true sweet practitioner of the sweet science giving so much thought and attention to gay porn just to look for a payday.

    2. with the right training toney can do preety well at mma, no well can match his hands that's for sure

    3. its funny to see toney pretend like he is a champ when he has not fought for a major title in years

:rofl:rofl I love James and he's a big boy. I don't see him lasting in MMA b/c he won't learn the craft the way one needs to know it to be the best. I support his decision to fight MMA if he feels he's got it. Don't get me wrong....EVEN THIS FADED James Toney can beat anyone of the Top MMA HW at any given time with his stand up alone, BUT....chances begin to fade knowing that none of the fighters Toney mentioned would be trying to trade with James.....They will try to take him to the ground where James will most likely be like a fish out of water. James's hands are so superior to anyone in MMA he could win a few fights, but he'll end up loosing everytime someone is successful in taking him to the ground.

Toney's mouth was played out years ago... too bad he never got the memo.
