haha just had to put that in eh? :rofl
Before you take out your foot from your mouth, did you know that against Clottey Cotto weighed in at 146, against Mosley he was 146.1? So now it is not 2lbs huh?...that's 1-1.1lbs from what he usually weighs in. :patsch

ofcourse he's not afraid of needles. he has tattoos all over the place but there's a big difference in having a needle popping through your veins compared to having needles popping just the skin. he doesnt like to lose blood or have multiple holes in his veins.

i lift weights and have blood test every other month by the same nurse and once she popped straight through a vein and i couldn't train properly for 2 weeks cus of the blood clot in my arm.

there's a reason why NSAC dont use blood test cus of such complications. Random test of urine is more than adaquate and far safer.

no. alot of people feel that its a legitimate excuse. If you're gonna ask someone to take a drug test that's out of the norm, especially one that he feels will compromise his training or performance, you better have a damn good reason. Or else he will refuse. That's pretty obvious

Pac wanted the title, Cotto wanted the payday and the recognition. They both compromised. Fair is fair. If Cotto really wanted to defend his title at 147 and not 145 he could have payed the penalty and had his wish.

the worst part is that the tests Pac accepted in the end would have been sufficient to detect any illegal substance that he could be taking to enhance his performance. That still isn't good enough for his haters

Ask hagler what it means to be the champion vs a star in negotiations.

Bull****. Height and reach yes, but that isn't he point. Clottey has a big frame at the weight, look at him when he ways in, he looks like a child with a big arse head, and then he's built like a brick **** house in the ring on Fight Night. He's ****ing huge for the weight.

^^ Mosley and Floyd both started at lower weights than Clottey. Height and reach dont matter, they are smaller. Margo has went between 147-154 and Clottey is arguably the same or larger than him and he was at 140-147 but he is cutting down a lot to get there.

Can't believe this, I still see people blaming Pac for the Mayweather fight not happening. :patsch

Any hater that claims Pac is to be blamed for the Mayweather fight now happening is an idiot and an ignorant one as well. The truth is SO obvious only ignorance will keep certain haters rolling and believing whatever bull**** they can grab.

Fact is, Pacquiao is the one who called for Mayweather ever since he announced his return TWO hours before Pac crushed Hatton. Pac didn't even want to bother with Cotto and demanded that Mayweather is his next opponent, what postponed that and forced the Cotto fight and for Pac to remain active is Mayweather/Marquez being postponed. Then after he defeats Cotto guess who's the one constantly calling for Mayweather in every single interview?, Pacquiao again. Who started negotiations?, Bob Arum and Pac's team. It's all very clear and obvious that makes these "haters" not really haters but just dumb ignorant losers, Pac is seriously not giving them anything to hate on while Mayweather gives everyone enough to hate on every time he's spotted.

These test demands came from Mayweather based on his drunken father's jealous hatred, it had nothing to do with Pac seriously looking like he's on steroids. Sr. got his ass busted hard as Hatton hit the canvas like he never did before. Jr. his self admitted that his father is full of bull**** once someone goes on his "negative" side, him believing this just proves he doesn't want this fight anyway and doesn't want to give Roach a chance to nail Sr. the hardest blow of his LIFE by defeating his son. I think it's safe to say Sr. will NOT be able to move on if Jr. loses to Pac and Roach.

I think the majority here are insulting Pac because his opponent doesn't seem popular enough or "good" enough, isn't that normal and typical?. No?, well here's a nice reminder. Remember when everyone sucking Pac's dick, deepthroat, for signing to fight Cotto while Mayweather got the same insults, maybe worse, for fighting Marquez coming up from lightweight?

he aint that big. his frame is not big. look at his tiny wrist, small fist and small hips, he does not have wide frame.

i cant see why u wud call clottey a huge welter, when there's monsters like margarito and PW

im not saying he's small but he aint huge for the weight.

I don't hate Pacquiao but I hate his ignorant fan base.

As much as I believe Manny to be clean, I can't criticize those who doubt his legitimacy after the way he and his team acted during the negotiations.

You are talking numbers and ignoring the fighters.

Let me give you an example.

Hops fought at 160 for so many years, but everyone knew he would be just as comfortable at 168 or 175, it would simply mean that he would cut less weight and change his training habits somewhat. He had the body and natural size to fight at those weights.

So Hops asking a fighter like say Tarver to meet at a catchweight of 168 would be harder on Tarver because cutting weight is harder to do then to add lean muscle. It takes alot more out of you if your body is not meant for it.

So the compromise is not the same.

In Pacs case, he has the body to fight at 147. He can fight just as effectively at 147 then he can at 140, he just wont be as dominant because he will be facing bigger guys. How do you think he got up to 147 without losing any speed or power and his body looks just as cut as before?

Cotto cutting to 145 had no effect on the fight. I think thats clear. But this wasnt some kind of cordial, mutual compromise. Pacs team knew full well Pac would look and feel great at 145. They just tried to weaken Cotto.

He makes the call as a pro fighter.....obviously he feels that the advantage of being a BIG Welter Weight outweighs his disadvantages in working to meet the weight limit of 147. Otherwise he'd move up to 154 and fight at a more comfortable weight. He must feel that he's better at 147 even with the fact that he looses stamina. That's why Cotto moved up to 147 from 140 b/c being a big Jr WW was not as beneficial as becoming a avg size WW who wasn't drained.
