It may seem that way, but I feel the consensus on ESB overrates Manny and underrates Floyd. Marquez was no doubt pissed off at Floyd coming in overweight, but Marquez was looking for a challenge and no doubt wanted to test himself regardless. Besides, pac fans are the ones always claiming a few pounds is nothing, which one is it? The Larios/pac comparison is a valid one. PBF is not a big WW and Marquez was 141 I believe on fight night. Whereas Manny was probably 140+ against Larios in that fight.
so its mannys fault that they don't test for HGH or EPO? what gives mayweather the right to drag mannys name through the mud by saying he is on steroids and demand blood testing huh?what gives him the right in the first place
Manny should of never agreed to what Floyd wanted. Manny agreed to blood testing and the USADA to do it. Then he says he wants a cut off date and pre set dates and the NSAC to do it.
Yea, that's why everyone is so excited over Pac/Clottey and no one is talking about Mayweather/Mosley.
does it really matter is Pacquiao or Arum said it? The fact is that Pac was willing to submit to any tests that the commission would have imposed. Arum is the one who represents Pacquiao in these negotiations. "If the commission wants to take blood, fine. We don't care." "we will do whatever the commission says"
It seems to be. if Arum says something and anyone uses it against you, you say Arum said it not pac. Arum is a liar, proven a liar. Anything he says has to be taken wit ha grain of salt.
so where in your bias link that it says that cotto would be stripped off the title by the WBO if he weighs in over 145 and just within 147? also, cotto should expect that pac fighting him would come with a reward for pac. as boxing fans, we know that beating cotto is enough but for the casual fans, more tangible rewards like belts is a must. and cotto fully knows that it is one of the reasons, pac is fiighting him. cotto would get bigger rewards than a mere WBO belt if he beats pac. besides, if you argue that the WBO belt is nothing because it was not done on the right welter limit, having 6 titiles in 6 weight class is not too bad of an accomplishment either. :good
yeah thats why everybody hoped the fight with Pacman would not happen so Floyd could fight a 36 year old Mosley, and thats why when Floyd/Mosley happnes the name most mentioned in the post-fight will be Manny Pacquiao.
That's basically a cop out by Arum as he knows the commision won't change their procedures just like that.
answer the question what gives him the right to even suggest manny is juicing and demand blood testing.why because floyd knows that manny is better than him and can't come to grips with it so he must be juicing he cant fathom that another fighter is better
jmm was looking for a challenge but he was not prepared with the **** floyd pulled. the only glimmer of hope jmm and some of his fans have is the fight taking place at a cacthweight where floyd would essentially be limited size-wise but still floyd doesn't want to give this up. and you still believe that **** that floyd is a still a small welter? maybe 2/3 years ago before he retired. after coming back, he looked like a tank besides jmm and probabaly was around 156 on fight night. larios still has the power to hurt pac back then, evidence that he is not into too much at a size disadvantage. jmm (in the floyd fight) was connecting better than larios (in the pac fight) and still floyd just smiled it out with every jmm connect.
135 was the exeption. The De La Hoya fight came up and he never looked back. Manny didn't get the chance to fight the likes of Valero, Guzman, Nate Campbell, Casamayor.. Do you question whether he would have fought them? And he was taking bigger challenges in Hatton and Cotto instead. Bradley may now be the man, but Hatton was clearly considered the best fighter at 140 when Pac fought him. He was the Ring and Lineal champion for 4 years no less. No-one can question that. Toughest challenge at 140-done. No-one is claiming Pac won the lineal title at 147, it was kind of scrambled anyway. Cotto was clearly one of the top 3 fighters. Only Pac's second fight there. When he proved he was strong enough to campaign at 147 he sought the biggest fight. Mayweather didn't want to fight him so he took the next top rated fighter in Clottey. No doubt if Mosley wins he will be next. You still can't seriously compare Pac's wins over Hatton and Cotto to Mayweather's wins over Gatti and Baldomir. Just because they had the WBC belt doesn't mean ****. A belt does not make a great fighter. Beating great fighters makes a great fighter. Something Mayweather has scarcely accomplished in his career. Pac has made a career of it. Hence Pac's better standing in most people ATG considerations. Mayweather's constant cheap shots aimed at belittling Pac achievements are pathetic and a desperate and cowardly act. If he wants to be greater than Pac, step in the ring and beat him.
