Shane Mosley vs Floyd Mayweather was the second most demanded fight by the public. Yet once is signed... the haters who are claiming floyd was ducking shane begin to chane their tune and begin to say that Shane is over the hill dispite his impressive ko victory over margarito. To me I thought Shane is a fighter like hopkins who preserves himself well and fought better with age. He kept up his speed, power, and to be honest i really can't tell what is gone from him.

So is he better today with experience or not as good as when he was in prime or is too old?

Mosley is 38. His performance against Margarito was very good and he still is a good fighter but he isn't great anymore. Watch Mosley-DLH 1. Mosley isn't that good anymore. I expect PBF to beat him but Mosley wouldn't be his best win. Castillo 2 and Corrales are better wins. Hernandez is about even with Mosley I think.

Not a fighter been born who's as good at 38 as they were at 28.

the people who said Mosley was shot when he was about to fight Margarito, after he lost to Cotto and apparently struggled with Mayorga, are changing their tune now that Shane is fighting Floyd, saying that he is still in his prime.

I bet that was difficult to get out with Pac's nuts in your mouth. A 38 year old Mosley still beats WaPakMan as does Floyd...now don't forget to gargle and then spit...

Better technically now but can't do some of the thing that he could back in the days. He would have whooped Floyd when Mosley was fighting in the 130's. He was probably faster than Floyd back then, and his combinations and power were devastating.

    This. :deal

Watch Mosley-De La Hoya 1. That was peak Mosley. That guy would have brutalized Cotto and dazzled Mayorga. Shane still has great handspeed, but his footspeed and workrate have declined. I don't think he moves his head as much now either, he seems easier to hit these days.

The Mosley of the late 90s beats Floyd at 135.
The Mosley of 2000 beats Floyd at 147.

Now? Floyd UD by running all night long.

When was Mosley ever great? Hes exactly the same as he was, no different. This myth about him being greater at LW is BS. His biggest wins have come at welterweight and his career second biggest win has been in the last 13 months.
