More ring smarts, but no way near the fighter he was in his prime. Well, maybe that's going to far, probably 80% of what he was.

Maybe try watching some of his lighweight fights instead of looking at them on Boxrec and get back to us then, because you clearly never saw him fight.

I've seen Mosley-Forrest. Forrest was a very good fighter in his own right, and possessed the style to beat Sugar Shane. Much like Jose Luis Castillo was for Floyd Mayweather, though credit to Floyd for winning the rematch which Mosley couldn't do against Vernon. Then again, Mosley never was much of a runner. Anyway, I'm not overrating ODLH at all, he was a great fighter, a better fighter than Forrest was. ODLH was undefeated at the time as he clearly won the Trinidad fight, and Shane became the 1st man to beat him, beating him at his own game. The Mosley of 2000 was very clearly and very obviously superior to the current version.

Put 2000 Mosley in with Miguel Cotto, and Shane wins by KO.

    Tell that to Bernard Hopkins

Bernard Hopkins was around 28 when he got dropped and drew with Segundo Mercado.

Shane Mosley was 28 when he beat Oscar De La Hoya convincingly to become the p4p#1.

    Completely different situations.

Yeah and what about Mosley having DLH number? He beat him in the amatuers and twice as a pro, with both fights being close. Mosley shows a clear problem with good technical range fighters. Didnt matter if Winky Wright was 154 or 140 either, he would have beat him the same.
If anything Shane is a better fighter now, he might be a tad slower, but hes smarter and is fighting with a boxing mind in his corner for once in his career.

LOL, I love Mosley, but really where have his biggest wins been at? He was the same type of fighter at LW, and still has pretty fast hands. You cant compare him to his LW days, because he really never faced anyone on the level he did at welterweight.

I reiterate: Only either a moron or a Floyd fanatic would suggest a 38 year old Mosley who was beaten by Cotto is better than the 28 year old version who beat a prime De La Hoya.

Which are you: moron or lover?

Again he still isn't as good at 38 as he was at 28.

Nah, he's not as good now and quite inconsistent when you look at his past few fights.

You crack me up. For someone who seems to have a deep encylopedia type knowledge of boxing, you know little about the technical side.
Answer me this? What are Mosley's two biggest name wins?
Does he have bigger wins at LW or welterweight?
How did he lose to both Wright and Forrest twice??
Does ODLH fight like Forrest or Wright?
Because he lost to Cotto who lost to Margarito, does that automatically make him worse?
What does Floyd have to do with anything? Are you suggesting that Im trying to pump Mosley up in anticipation of his fight with Mayweather? Just you implying that would suggest, and by your previous posts, that you are trying to downplay Mosley by his advanced age, considering you have already stuck your foot in your mouth by saying Mayweather would never fight Mosley.:?

    no **** sherlock!

anyways i agree with the rest of your post.

Mosley is NOT prime, he is 38 and his greatest moments are behind him BUT he is the best welterweight right now, anyone who beats him should get the props, they deserve it.
