so does de la hoya deserve to be in HOF? his biggest victory was against 35 years old chavez and camacho plus someone named fernando vargas he lost to best fighter he face too, shane mosley twice, trinidad, hopkins and off course a much smaller man name pacquiao as much as I hated camacho fighting style in the 90's he will be in HOF technically from achievent standpoint, there's nothing you can do about it.

He was nearly great so yes he deserves to be in, skillset, opposition faced and defeated all very good, hes better than alot of the crap already in there.
ok I'll take it, his best real victory was against pernell whitaker and it was just as close as camacho decision victory over rosario and talkin about beating solid lesser known fighter... in 80's camacho beat rafael solis, bazooka limon, ramirez (right after he knocked out rosario), greg haugen, rosario, howard davis, ray mancini, vinny paz....
well, compu box statistic shows camacho landed more right after the final bell, larry merchant says he has camacho slightly ahead. I agree with those.
Definite HOF. Two of the fastest hands I've ever seen. He wasn't a big puncher and I think fighters that don't knock guys out don't always get the credit they deserve. He went ten years as a pro without getting beaten. Sure he fought too long but plenty of great boxers have made that mistake. I can't say I watched many of his later fights but I don't remember him ever getting Knocked down (and I hated all that "macho" **** so I always wanted him to get planted). He also beat Freddie Roach so I'm sure all the Mayweather fans will start some internet campaign to get him in.
