That's the thing about Mexico's boxing legacy. It's so deep and that many Mexicans take it for granted.

They don't want to talk about how Mexico picks off Pinoy Prospects Sonsona, Ciso Morales, and Bautista. Sonsona in particular is a joke he got spanked by a smaller man.

I think Cuba is doing more for boxing as far as elite talent goes. Aside from Pac I don't see any Pinoy doing anything special.

Yey and the last 2 guys to beat up Pac were also Mexicans. Pac never wanted no part of Marquez again after the 2nd fight. He got a gift and didnt wan no more cause figured he might not get one the next time.

 

Mexico still has more depth than any other country in the world after the US despite its slump. NO OTHER COUNTRY COMES CLOSE!!!!!

 

My dad is huge fan of chavez and so do I when I was younger

After jc Chavez everybody said Mexico was finished, then Barrrera, the Marquez bros, Eric Morales and others put Mexico back on the map

It really depends on who you ask.. some like Futbol, others boxing, or sometimes they like both. More than likely you will see that boxing is more popular in Mexico than in the United States. In particular the Government of Mexico has relied on Boxing to revitalize its tourism.
