He's got everything going for him apart from his ring entrance music...

That is truely horrific. So bad infact,I'll struggle to get 100% behind him if it continued.

10 years world champion? don't think so.

but he's very good. i rate him a lot, but calzaghe is greatness, one of the best british boxers of all time, and that's just too hard to compare to.

It's a little too early to judge. But he isn't showing the talent that Calzaghe was showing at this stage of his career (not to say that Cleverly isn't talented, of course).

He's a better dancer than Calzaghe :yep

Too early to tell. I've seen most of his recent fights live (didn't see the Macintosh one live) and he's definitely improved rapidly...but he still makes a couple of huge mistakes consistently...

He hasn't fought anyone who can punch yet. Don't forget, he was on his arse in Cardiff vs Joey Vegas on the Calzaghe Kessler bill. That's not the end of the world and he's clearly learned from it but since then, he's not fought anyone who can punch. Oakey = non puncher, Fry = non puncher, Brancallion = non puncher, afro bums = non punchers, billy boyle = non puncher. Mackintosh punches ok but was a virtual novice...

Let's see how he does against a pressure fighter who puts him on the back foot and can bomb :bbb

He seems like a really nice guy though and he's done very well so far...he was sharp last night

Needs to lose the bandana though!

If you honestly believe that Basshunter(i think) is 'great' then good for you.
Personnely,I feel its a serious insult to dance music.

It will all depend on what he does after he wins that first alphabet (which he will inevitably do eventually).

Its hard to tell, Calzaghe had an unbelievable skill set, which I don't think Clev will be able to develop. However, Calzaghe wasted too many years hanging about in Wales/England, something that was both his and Warrens fault.

So all in all, I think Clev will not be a better fighter, but I think he may be able to build himself a better career.

In a word, no. Calzaghe is a p4p legend. Clev might make it to the top and get a world title for himself but he won't beat the cream of the crop like Calzaghe did. Dawson would murder Cleverly. He is going to have a successful career no doubt but he won't be bigger than Calzaghe. That is far too tall an order.

Theres such a good opportunity for him to have a really good career. He's confident, skilled, gettin stronger and as we know boxings about timing and this could just be right for him. Ageing Jones jr, tarver and johnson would bring names to his record. The, dare i say, more 'credible' fights to the boxing fraternity are there 2- Dawson, cloud, pascal etc The warren factor could play a part however, over caution with this talented youngster could mean that he misses the opportunities to make him the star his talent warrants.

Bigger than clazaghe? I guess that'd depend on your perception of greatness. Undefeated career? 10 years as champ? Most title defenses? Thats gr8 and i dont clev emulating that. But he has the potential to have bigger fights though it may mean a break from warren to make them...

I hope he keeps it. I'd love to see him headline MGM someday against a big name yank and come in with that same corny Eurobeat dance music.

I highly doubt he'll get bigger than Calzaghe though.

If he is going to go for the electronic music feel he should play some Aphex Twin. His opponent would **** his knickers.
