Great news from Dominican land, Joan Guzman confirms he is fighting Ali Funeka next for a 2nd time on March 27th in either LA, Detroit, Miami, or NY. He confirmed it to a local newspaper down here in DR, the Listin Diario. He will be fighting on the same card as his compatriot, Victor Manuel Cayo, who is fighting Marcos Rene Maidana, "El Chino," on the same nite. It also marks the 1st time 2 Dominicans fight for a belt on the same nite.:smoke

He got lucky in the first fight to have it a draw I hope he can rebound and do big things. Funeka is just a bad matchup for him as I think he is going to win again but this time it should go down as an "official" win.

Was the right thing to do given the way the last fight ended.

Funeka will get robbed once again , wont even watch . Funeka hurt him and dominated like a bum and it still wasn't enough to get the win GTFO crooked judges .

If Funeka can just knock him out this time, he might get a split decision victory! Is this for the vacant strap they were fighting for before?

Im torn between these two fighters, although Guzman is the better fighter technically, Funeka is just a bad stylistic mach-up for him.

Hope Guzman wins though as i think he is the more marketable fighter who will go on to bigger and better things

I like Guzman but Funeka is no joke, they should start building up a fight between Funeka and Williams, they have the same style and that good be a great undercard in the Pacquiao vs Mosley once they win for the end of the year

this rematch needed to happen. I expect Guzman to solidify his Hall of Fame credentials with a UD this time around.

Only in the sense that we wouldn't need a rematch if the first decision had been halfassedly fair.
