It's an exaggeration, I agree. But then again, so is Froch.

  3. I'm thinking you need a little realiZm yourself. I think Andre can win, but, just not sure if he will. Gotta do a lot better than he did against Froch.

You think he had a coming-of-age fight, huh? He'd get some major shock from this forum if he did a 180 on us. I've wondered if he might.

I'll certainly agree that it's likely he'll use the loss to Froch as a benchmark by which to improve, and I sincerely hope he does. The guy has a hell of a lot of talent and it'd be a shame to see it go to waste entirely for his inability to box to his full potential (in this case, his punch output/cowardly like manner against Froch).

I also agree with you that he may have been questioning his presence in the tournament (given his unproven record), and that that this may well have been a hinderence for him in his confidence to come forward and set the pace of the fight.

What I will say is this however. Froch is an underrated fighter who gets slated by haters all over these boards. As educated spectators, we can all see his technical deficiencies, yet he's proven critics wrong with victories over pascal/taylor/dirrell, in a row (though I'll be the first to admit he didn't look good against Dirrell).

Could a loss to such a "slated" name put further doubt into Dirrell's mind as to his presence in the Super 6?

i like both fighters and think dirrell has a huge upside. i picked him to beat froch and feel he won the fight. that being said...

the round dirrell stops aa in depends on when a firearm can get smuggled past security and into his hands in the ring. and that's the truth. a points win is a very strong possibility...a stoppage...no way in hell. if arthur has nothing else he has a tough beard.

I don't think so. Anyone with good sense knows that Froch is a beast. And for Dirrell to come as close as he did to beating him, even with such a scared, shitty performance probably gives him confidence.

I'd agree with you there too. Lets hope we see him at his best when he comes in against Abraham.

it won't be his beard that beats pav, it will be his punch. but if the atg lajuan simon can last 12 w/ arthur, then i think pav can :D

Dirrell is gonna finish on his feet only if he rides his bike all the time and is very respectful of AA power. Anyway, i have AA by ko in rd 10 or 11.

after watching the taylor vs abraham fight

and dirrel vs froch (yes i was out of my mind)

i think dirrel will win a decision, he needs to employ the same coward like tactics vs froch, run every time and threw very few punches, abraham throws very very little and as long as dirrel doesnt get hit full on the jaw he should win the decision
