You can't use a one in one million guy and say he's the norm for everyone. The older you get the less you have physically. I can't see Leonard being competitive now.
Again once the discussion goes way over your head you have to resort to low blows. Typical childs play.
Yes, you getting laughed at by numerous posters for trying to maintain that a 38 year old Shane Mosley who lost to Miguel Cotto is better than the 28 year old version who was world pound-for-pound number 1 after beating Oscar De La Hoya, that is indeed waaaaaaaaaaay over my head!
I understand that, but nothing suggests he's severely diminished either. He's fought well and competitive against top opposition. Of course he doesn't have the same reflexes as he did when he was younger but that doesn't mean he can't compensate with ring smarts either. More fighters are fighting later into their 30's and early 40's these days and it's going to continue. Some can and some can't.
People who think shane is actually better now days are fuking delusional. Go watch is first fight with Oscar. Incredible. He's a shadow of that now, sorry to say
No one is actually claiming this though. All people are saying is that he isn'at as good as he once was, which is a valid opinion. atsch Just looking at some of the old videos of Shane clearly demonstrate the he WAS faster in his movements during his prime. He still has a lot left, again nobody is really saying otherwise, but he has slipped from the time he beat De La Hoya.
Who said he was better you moron. Your using one fight as an example against a fighter that beat him through every stage of his boxing career. Your a biased moron that will do anything to try and diminish mayeweather for some strange reason. What did he screw your momma or something??
Exactly, Flex. :good Folk here aren't claiming he is shot to **** but he is inactive, his form is somewhat patchy of late and he is visably not the fighter he once was. He hasn't slipped to a great extent and can still compete at the top level.
found an awesome SSM highlight on youtube. btw I've never said Mosley was shot, but he is not better today than he was in the past. Past his prime but extremely well conserved. [yt]44LUYWSAduY[/yt]
I actually don't resort to name calling until attacked first. Popkins is head of the anti mayweather campaign and it's hard to stomach
