Why Felix Savon didn't decide to turn pro?

I used to do all of this when I was kid... aint nobody brain washed, we all show up celebrate the cuban heros, state that we will die for our country and then go home and talk **** about how f*cked up things are were no one from the government will hear us.

 

Yeah, most cubans are when it comes to Savon. They forget he was an old man fighting against young boys Olympic event after Olympic event, and still came up on the losing end in several amateur fights (like against Chagaev :roll.

Easy to compete against the all-time heavyweights when it's just a mere dream, eh?

 

he probably had a Glass Jaw just like Jorge Luis Gonzalez did.

 

Really hard to tell when you're wearing extra padding and don't have to fight a full 12 rounds. Coupled with the fact that you're fighting kids that are basically still learning the sport, it obviously means you can beat the all-time great heavyweights in the pro's.

people might think its a joke, but no... he actually turned out gay after he retired.

 

Savon won his first world championship when he was 19 so this talk about him beating kids is just bull.. and in the heavyweights anybody can KO the other guy they're that big and hit that hard but he had a lot of power also that wouldve been better displayed in the pros

Just a loose theory but part of the truth may be this...

Gays in general seem to prefer stinking safety rather than fresh but dangerous adventrure... Like leaving your ****ing evil country to face Mike Tyson that you just watched on TV, on the other side of the ocean...

 

He didn't show anything in the amateurs that would indicate he would develop into the type of fighter like Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, etc..

The guy was 25 when he won his first Olympic Gold medal, 29 his 2nd, 33 his third...a grown man fighting kids. Anyone who doesn't see this is a fool.

It's easy for big Cubans to look good in the amateurs, yet look like **** in the professionals. Just look at Juan Carlos Gomez. Hell, look at Solis

They woulden't have tortured his family, they would be put under gov't watch and wouldent be able to have jobs except for the lowest level ones.
