I would say if M decided right now and retire without any more fights , then it would be up in the air tipping to C

largely due to disappointment over what M could do.

Hate Mayweather, but he's an ATG, no doubt.
Like Calzaghe, cool guy, but not an ATG.

 

Maywhether was a great p4p number 1 and has climbed weights and won numerous titles. Calzaghe was a dominant smw champ and did very good at lhw in a short reign.

I'll go with Floyd in this one.
Calzaghe was a great champion and arguable the best smw ti lace up a pair of gloves but he is not ahead of Floyd all time I wouldnt put him over his 2 best wins Hopkins or Jones

How dare you make me positively vote for Mayweather on something. But, yeah. Mayweather. Calzaghe was an excellent fighter but if he wants to pass up Mayweather, he'd have to come back, beat Dawson and Cloud and maybe snatch a CW belt.

No offense to our Brit cousins, but you probably won't find many non-Brits voting for Calzaghe. I can only imagine what is happening in the Lewis vs Calzaghe thread. Their heads must be spinning.

Calzaghe was an excellent fighter who fought at SMW at a time when the comp in that division was relatively weak. None the less, he still beat some good fighters and did manage to win every major belt at SMW. However, in no way is he ahead of Mayweather. That's not a knock on Calzaghe, but he's simply not as talented or accomplished as Mayweather.

 

Money May...... Easy. Calzaghe made his career a joke by never in his career fighting the best fighter in his division. Or movin divisions
