Have you been busy thinking of excuses for when Hopkins brutally KO's Jones? I am sure Roy has already been thinking which excuse he will use. Maybe he will say he lost on purpose again so his dad would not get the credit?:rofl:patsch

I have never defended Roy's ridiculous excuses. You can be a fan of a fighter and not agree with everything they say or do.

By the way, I love you you ignored my post and brought up this irrelevant bull****.

When did Roy Jones ever do any of the above? And I think Jones' jaw is now glass aswell but you are contradicting yourself.

Nah, he has already used that one.

I don't think he will be knocked out by Hopkins anyway though.

    Complete nonsense.

What makes you think Rico's jaw is anywhere near as durable as glass ?

That's funny, I'm a big Tommy fan too.

You're absolutely right, those who get most upset about particular fighters' glass jaws being exposed here are most likely hard-core nuthuggers of those fighters.

i give credit to all fighters for just entering ring so glass jaw thing abit lame but usally when you get kod your probably taking chance to win same way an that is something fighter dont get credit for while the saftey first guy gets credit for surviving granted these senerios arent always case auggie sanchez loved that guy vicious puncher major risk taker but muscle memory caught up to him early an if prince nassem didnt sucker punch in clinch that out come might have been different out come finishing punch legit but never recovered from first in clinch an in nutshell glass jaw happens over time through muscle memory

Donald Curry, Terry Norris, and Tommy Hearns were all great fighters who were ko'd by fighters not exactly known for their one punch power. Curry downed by Honeyghan, Norris by Mullings, and Hearns by Barkley.

What is the difference in competition? Don't you think Roy could have just declined?

You say he started fighting good competition after a 7 year period, but in that 7 year period he held convincing victories over fighters that beat Tarver and Johnson, (the two that knocked him out all over the place).
Also the guy who beat DM, someone you criticize Roy for not fighting.

Do you realize Jones would have fought Tarver 3 years earlier had Tarver been able to beat Harding? Jones haters just look at the negative and blame Roy for everything.

Tarver was his big step up in competition? But destroying Harding, who broke Tarver's jaw was nothing right?

    Also Rico,

You discredit Roy's win over Hill. You said Hill was "old as hell" But you probably didn't know that Jones was exactly Hill's age when he was knocked out by Tarver.

Its funny you give Hill the benefit of the doubt, but with Jones it was because he started fighting good competition and he has been a fraud his whole career. Even though that good competition you talk about were beaten by fighters that Roy totally dominated.

A glass jawed fighter is he who collapses completely in the face of what does not appear to be a devastating punch or attack or that collapses in face of punishment that one expects other fighters would be able to resist.

Andrew Golota and RJJ are examples of glass jawed fighters.
