I disagree, I reckon it will be a fair test of where Green is atm.

They are both about the same size (siaca must of been a monster at middle), siacas ex smw world champ, both fought at lt hvy, hard to see a negative - especially if it gives briggs a chance on the undercard to set up a green v briggs in the future!

Bika would have been a better opponent. But meh....Green likes to take the Mundine route.

TBH I would rather see Green fight Siaca instead of Briggs next just so Briggs has a chance to take a much-needed tune up before he commits to fighting Green. At least then he'll know if he's capable of hanging with Green or if it would be a danger to him to fight Green.

I'd like to see Green fight Bika after Siaca (providing he gets past Siaca, you would think he would but it doesn't pay to look past your next opponent).

I'd really like to see Green get a fight with another big name like Hopkins but it seems unlikely. I guess a rematch with Mundine at LHW or CW would be the next viable option.

Bika is a tough fight for both men, i dont think either of them want to face Bika.

I think Green and Briggs wld both stop Bika.
Bika is extremely open when he starts throwing haymakers. Joe Cazaghe just didn't have the necessary pop in his mid-30's (hand problems) to stop Bika in their fight.

Green may stop Bika but i would take Bika over Briggs.,too many ????? over Briggs health................maybe Bika should fight Briggs with the winner to take on Green assuming he beats Siaca which given Siaca and his inactivity recently should mean an easy win for Green.

Bika's asset is that he is awkard and very very strong for the division he fights in. He makes his fights & opponents look ugly, there is not to many if any names lining up to fight Bika and theres a couple of reasons for that i think,... his either out priced himself or guys dont want an awkard tough opponent like Bika, especially after watching the fight with Joe. just my thoughts on it m8

Bika was a bully at MW and SMW no doubt.

However if he steps up in weight to fight light heavy's and Cruisers he may be in for a shock.

I think Bika has a slightly suspect chin as well........ I just haven't seen enough evidence to really go on about it.... but i believe he does especially after Codington exposed it to an extent.

Your right about the weight, if he goes up in weight he looses one of his assets, that being the strength and he will most likely get hurt, if his managment is smart they will not put him upto cruiser. I think Codington hit the sweet spot because ive never seen anyone rock Bika like that before, not a glass jaw but like all boxers he does have a sweet spot.

Bika is just plain dangerous anywhere below LHW, which is part of the reason he hasn't been able to get fights lately. From some reports, the other reason seems to be he wants a big split in any potential contract.

Two things kick in here when considering Bika with Green or Mundine:

Green came back specifically for Mundine II, regardless of all the other b/s being said. He only diverted to RJJ because he couldn't get Mundine interested. The big fight to follow RJJ didn't happen, and now it's back to plan 'A', ie Mundine II.

Mundine has invariably taken the easy, low risk path, and that's never been likely to include a bout with Bika. At this point in his career, and based on his past fight choices, I'd be absolutely astonished if he fought Bika!

Remember Green was slated to fight Siaca a few years back and Siaca withdrew before the fight because of injury. I think it will be a fight worth watching that's for sure.:good

I'm not so fussed on this fight. I know Green tried to make some bigger fights, but he definately has ulterior motives for this one and tbh it's kinda lame..
