I'm not arguing any of your last points.
Just allow me to add or ask would we be saying Frazier was as great as he was without Ali?. And pardon me, his fights were against an Ali that was no longer the Ali of the 60's.
Frazier would have been fighting the tomato cans up until he fought Foreman. Yea I know Bonavena knocked him down a few times but what does that tell you? AND WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU?

Frazier has that right to be upset but not 'ugly' upset. All the others despite their petty horse**** (after the fact) seems have put their issues at rest.

    Am I wrong about this?

I've watched it like 3 times in a row. Great stuff. Chuvalo in particular made a great impression. What a guy.

I know what you mean Scar. Man some of these guys are giants in the boxing word and I sometimes wonder if they have come to terms with it.

Brilliant doc, but you should check out the book too. The "Facing Tyson" book was excellent also.

If only Sonny Liston was still around to comment...

leon spinks sounded the worst. does slurring speech have something to do with making your voice horse like frazier, norton, and spinks? i saw spinks smoking a ciggarette but don't know if it has anything to do with his horse voice.

you'd think cory spinks would take care of him, let him live with him or train him or something. either that or he's so out of it that he's not capable of doing anything anymore. i heard he works at the ymca and macdonalds.

No you're not wrong and I can't disagree with Frazier getting all the attention up until the Ali fight was signed and the trilogy was done with. Even though many will disagree with many points but yes Ali MADE those fights as legendary as they were, from the moment they signed all the way to the ring entrance. Still none can deny that Frazier did have a great heavyweight career regardless of his loss to Foreman like Norton had a great heavyweight career as well, these guys are all ranked in the top 10 ATG heavyweight greats and I don't think it was only because of Ali. Yes, Ali played a major role but they had careers as well, not to forget that all three are olympian gold medalists.

He never did **** for Cory when he was rolling in dough and Cory was living in one of the worst neighborhoods in the US. East St. Louis is no ****ing joke.

Agreed on Chuvalo. That man has walked thru some personal hells and come out wiser, but much sadder for the experience. In a way, kind of an inspiration for anyone who's been thru some hard times and had to endure.

With all the money, whether it's a lot or not, you would think he would at least get that sorted out.

He didn't have to do **** for Cory, the name Spinks was already popular enough to give Cory the attention he needed. It's not like Cory was exciting in the ring to casual fans still a lot tuned in just because of the name Spinks and that's a legendary name in boxing.

He did. He's got some fake toofers in the documentary. That's the reason he can't talk right...
