i'm not a pavlik fan, but he will win by ****. tko in the first six rounds, and if pavlik fights williams, there will be the same. pavlik should fight bute, he will **** him and then fight the super six winner, arthur abraham. this will be a war
pavlik was outclassed 10 lbs. over his natural weight by a HOF fighter where as PW lost his title to a blown-up jr. welter. FACT.
Pavlik needs to make beating Martinez his primary goal and forget Williams as Pavlik wasted PW's time with all of his stalling. He has a chance to beat Martinez but he needs to believe he does. Pavlik is not as ruined as y'all think and can rebuild his career I mean he only lost once plus not even at middleweight so have faith in him. It's not like he lost to journeymen, he lost to BHOP no shame in that.
The Ghost is gonna KILL Martinez. He is mad at the critics and is going to be looking to send a message to everyone doubting him. Wait and see.
Some of you guys dumping on Pavlik don't get it. He is a huge middleweight, a bully fighter and the biggest puncher in the division. Slick as Martinez is, he is gonna have some huge problems dealing with Pavlik's constant pressuring and power wearing him down as the rounds go by. When eventually Martinez will get knocked out by the punch that has already hit him dozens of times in the fight, big overhand right. BOOM. Or maybe an uppercut.
On ESB, and the in the boxing media in general, everybody and there cousin is always going to out box Pavlik. Everyone who isn't suppose to outbox him is suppose to knock him out. Bloody Hell, if I felt like taking the time, I could dig up an old article that talked about what a dangerous fight McKart was for KP back in 2006. Reality is that one person holds a professional victory over Pavlik, and that was a fight at 170. A p4p all time great caught Kelly on the worst day of his career. Sergio Martinez ain't no BHop. They don't even inhabit the same universe.
I'm curious, if Pavlik wasn't sick, injured, ect ect that you claim he was, do you honestly see that fight being any different than it was?
I'll answer this... No. BHop executed a perfect game plan. He came into the fight in phenomenal shape and did everything to perfection . That said... If Kelly hadn't suffered the elbow injury, and had not been sick the week of the fight (facts), the outcome "could" have been different. BHop admitted to "feeling" Kelly's power, and a healthy KP may have done some damage at a 100%.
I actually think Martinez will win that fight by decision. I like them both, but will be rooting for Pavlik.
Pavlik has never lost a pro fight at his 160lb weight limit. What on earth makes you believe martinez is going to end that streak. Hes no prime taylor or hard punching miranda and he sure as hell aint no hopkins.
