Where would you rank these guys on your ATG list?

    Evander Holyfield - top 45

    Bernard Hopkins - top 50

    Roy Jones Jr. - top 70

    Vitali Klitschko - top 80 (maybe could go higher)

    Juan Manuel Marquez - top 35

    Floyd Mayweather Jr. - top 40 (could go much higher)

    Erik Morales - top 35

    Shane Mosley - top 50 (could go a little higher)

    Manny Pacquiao - top 15 (Mayweather fight fallout dropped him just a tiny a bit in my eyes, but still...could go higher...maybe even top 5, but no matter what happens for the rest of his career, couldn't see him dropping out of top 20.)

    The parentheses denote guys who's career's aren't over, and still have a chance to boost their ATG rating. The rest of them...their career may not be over, but there isn't anything they could do at this point to rise on my personal list, and in my humble opinion.

    These lists are always interesting and promote a hell of a lot of different opinions, but how many people really keep a close eye out on all the weight divisions over the years?

    Pac at 15? I can't see how. Mayweather would take him to school, and other than the first 3 or 4 rounds the fight wouldn't even be competitive. Mayweather's the most physically gifted boxer I seen since a prime Roy Jones.

    JMM and Morales are far too high.

    Vitali Klitschko shouldn't be considered as a top 100 p4p fighter.

    Mosley is also ranked too high in my opinion.

    Jones is ranked too low.

    Top 35 though?

    I don't have Morales inside my top 50.

    As someone else mentioned - Pac, JMM, Morales and Mosely are too high. Jones too low.

    Floyd and Hopkins are about right.

    The only way I'd rank Jones so low is if I seriously considered what he's not accomplished in the past 5 years and if longevity is a key judgement. Personally, I'd throw these years out the window and rank him higher. We can all nit pic his schedule when he was in his prime but victories over Hopkins, Toney, Hill, Ruiz and Tarver are all on his resume before he legitimately lost.

    Look, the bottom line is that in his prime, Roy Jones was absolutely incredible. Talented beyond belief, but truth be told, he fought some very, very ordinary guys. "Cops and security guards", as some people say. Jones' legacy took a huge nosedive in the latter part of his career, and he is a case of what has happened after his prime affecting what he did in his prime. Truly great fighters DO NOT get knocked out in the 1st round by a bum, no matter how old they are...truly great fighters don't even get knocked out in the 2nd round! Hell, Ali was old, and in the initial stages of Parkinsons, and still lasted the full 15 against Leon Spinks, and was never knocked off his feet by Holmes and Berbick...
