Adamek vs Arreola is a GO!

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Juiceboxbiotch, Feb 17, 2010.

  1. Adamek steps up his heavyweight competition yet again as he takes on a real test in Cristobal Arreola. :happy :thumbsup

Can Adamek solidify his heavyweight contederness with a win? Or does Arreola send him back to the Cruisers?

    Discuss. :deal

This will indeed be a tough fight for Adamek and I can see him having to take a few heavy shots to win this...He isnt a big heavyweight and Cris is 6'4" isnt he? He wont be in as good a shape as Adamek but he can punch and I think Adamek might take one too many to get close...

Still be a good tear up though and I am rooting for Adamek - being Polish and all!

Glen Johnson has worthy student in Adamek. They can fight with everybody, anywhere, anytime. Old school.

Adamek is certainly progressing his career quickly. I like that. He is very active of late.

You must be nuts. :-( Adamek is going to look to come in and be impressive for the American crowd, Arreola is going to do what he always does. Defining moment in both guy's careers and I think both will impress with the willingness to slug it out regardless of the outcome. Adamek knows what he needs to do to land a real HW title shot.

Winner should get Haye especially if it's Adamek.

I love Adamek's activity and guts, but I'm afraid he's gonna lose this one.
He certainly has the ability to outbox Chris, but I think the man is gonna walk him down.

But I like the no talk, just box attitude of the man. There are quite a few boxers who can learn something from that :good

Huge respect for Adamek, the dude is a REAL boxing risktaker, though I think he's asking too much here. With all his flaws, Arreola is such a devastating machine, power, output, okay handspeed and physical strength. Vitali beat him with length, countering and defense, and that's not a gameplan for Adamek who has to come up with his own and actually execute it which is the harder part.

    It's gonna be awesome!

Extremely dangerous fight for Adamek but that's why we love him. Hopefully he comes in a bit leaner as it seems the extra muscle mass doesn't agree with him for all 12 rounds of stamina. At initial thought I am favouring Arreola to finally catch him with something big after getting outworked but then we have to realise for his size and frame Arreola isn't THAT much of a murderous puncher at heavyweight... respectable power no doubt but he hasn't displayed much one punch K.O power and Adamek's chin has always held up so we'll see.
