Bonavena is a man who could potentially extend Marciano the distance.

He could, he did with Frazier.

But, I think Marciano had noticeably superior stamina to Frazier. So Bonavena would have to be brave to withstand it. He is going to be there to be hit, unlike the guys that fight Rocky. They generally retreat.

Frazier's stamina seemed incredible up until his last fights with "Foreman and Cummings." (Weights of 224 & 229 hindered him badly)..

Frazier would've came out for round 15 if Futch felt Joe could see straight in Manila.... Frazier was only age 31 and 215 pounds for Ali.....

Frazier's stamina was fine at 215 and UNDER!:deal

Marciano had noticeably superior stamina to who? Frazier? Frazier, along with Marciano, was one of the best conditioned fighters in history...regardless of weight class. Please reference Frazier-Ali 1,3 and Frazier-Ellis...not to mention Frazier-Quarry. He through non stop power punches!

Agreed....... Prior to 1976, Frazier had plenty of gas in his tank....... Even with all this medical **** about his high blood pressure, etc......... I'm sure Frazier had a doctor who had him on meds for that problem with pressure of the blood....... As for the cataract / eye issue, well, that doesn't hinder a man's stamina...

Disagree. Charles was down 30 times in his career, and Moore was down quite a bit too. At light heavy in their primes, they had solid chins, but at heavy it was a different story.

Quarry had a good chin; it was his skin that was toilet tissue....... Quarry was TKO'd several times, but only parked once that I know of......... And I believe Quarry ****ed up the ref's count........ Quarry's chin was intact.......

I was ringside for Quarry- Mac Foster and I was a believer in that 24-0 24 ko record of Foster and his rippled and muscled 6"3 frame but Jerry and his body shots and hook to the head shook Big Macs world

I also was present at ringside for Quarry toughing Earnie Shavers and I had previously saw Earnie KO Ellis...Gerry went right for Earnie and took his punches.

I saw Quarry dominated Big Ron Lyle and hurt Ron and put him in survival mode...Yes a younger version of the man who had Foreman down and staggered several times

Quarry had a very good chin and recovered well. His problems were he was sometimes erratic (mind issues)

I suspect Quarry comes to fight and Jerry was a very good and solid fighter the thing is like Ali and Frazier they were in a different Class and the cream rises to the top.

I see a good solid battle with Marciano emerging and landing as the quick paced and to the point fight wears on with the cream ( Marciano was a special class) and the fight being stopped somewhere between 5-12

I could see Quarry do well early on he was a good counter puncher, however I think Rocky would take over and eventually stop Quarry late.

I don't know about that. Frazier battled life and death with Muhammad Ali in a very fast paced fight for 15 rounds in their first meeting. The stats in that match were a compu-box giant. I don't know if the Rock ever engaged in a match with that much activity.

Ringo had bigger balls than just about any fighter that ever lived. Fear was not an emotion that he was born with.. It's one of the reasons why he had a rather short life.

Based on what? Charles was down more against Bivins and Marshall in his youth than he ever was against huge punchers Marciano and Walcott. In his prime as both Light Heavy and a Heavyweight Champion and Contender he was a very sturdy fighter that rarely tasted the canvas despite fighting at a ridiculious schedule against the division's biggest punchers. Most of Moore's knockdowns came at light heavy as well, the vast majority in his early "learning on the job" days and later years after Marciano.
