You can when talking about h2h... in ring achievement no... but when referring to physical ability, yes. Prime RJJ is probably the most physically gifted fighter to ever lace them up. In ring achievements, obviously not.

  2. You can discredit Roy's resume all day if you want to. But you can't argue with the fact that he was whoopin mu****as asses in the Ring like no other fighter you have seen in history. I've always said this, nobody whoop mu****as asses like Roy Jones.....Nobody.

  3. thats true. But I dont think that is entirely his fault. I think Roy came at a time when his division just wasn't that strong. =If it was strong back before he went up I think he would be one of the most accomplished boxers ever. I wish he would have never blown up then shot back down.

This is true... Multiple fighters that Roy Jones totally made look like amateurs, had close fights with or sometimes beat the fighters Roy gets criticized for not fighting...

I know that doesn't mean you beat the other fighter, but it doesn't leave a whole lot to imagination.

  6. Give him his props tho. You can't name one fighter that would have whooped up on RJJ if he was in his prime. Name one. Just one.

Don't get me wrong, RJJ is an all-time great at 168 but really just a top 20 guy at light heavy all time. Had he simply stayed at 175 and retired in the early 2000's his legacy and status as a top p4p fighter all time wouldn't be quite so debatable.

Roy was a phenomenon in his prime. Griffin 2 and Hill was crazy to watch, he dominated Toney and beat Bernard something no one could do between his second ever fight and like a decade later. He should of retired with just the one dq loss but his ego wouldnt let him and he has subsequently tarnished his legacy but true boxing fans will never forget just what a special fighter he was simply because he did things that no one else could do.

Hater, go on then list the people he has ducked ******.

  10. He went up to heavyweight to appease the fickle ass so-called boxing fans who said he wasn't doing **** and he ended up ruining himself. Now those same so-called boxing fans are saying he ain't **** and never was:patsch. Some people are insane and just hate because they dont have that physical ability.

Roy was a special talent without a doubt. He faught some great fighters and dominated in a way to suggest he was the best in his era....the talent he has shown is on anther level. Roy gots skills....but not as much talent. Some of that **** he did was NOT "Boxing 101"...it was pure athletic ability coupled with incredible talent. In his prime I don't know who in the last 25 yrs could have beat him.

And he may be 5-5 in his last 10 fights, but it is somewhat commendable that his level of competition may have actually INCREASED as he got further and further out of his prime. (Calzaghe, Tarver, Johnson, Hopkins, etc.).

  13. All these mu****as would have been cremated if they fought roy in his prime. Hopkins already caught that work.

I agree that RJJ would have defeated Calzaghe by Manslaughter(RD 5) had they fought at 168 in the 90's BUT...he actually fought Tarver twice in his prime at 175 and you already know what happened.

  15. Nope! His prime was over after he came down from heavyweight. he fought Tarver the next two times and looked like **** ever since. Tarver would have gotten his soul taken if he fought pre-heavyweight Roy.:deal
