i believe floyd was cornered into fighting mosely. floyd apparently thought it a bad idea to fight mosely(more risk) for less money. pac has in the past at least entertained a fight vs mosely and may still fight him in the future.
pac has at least destroyed one of the top fighters in the weight that these 2 p4p fighters are fighting in. in my opinion, he has done his part in geting to the top. now let floyd beat another of the top fighters and the fight will fall in line for the future.
for some reason people think that if the floyd fight doesnt happen for pac it proves something. pac already stands alone as far as accomplishments go in the modern era. losing to mayweather would not change that. he is not suppose to be this good against guys this size, remember. beating floyd would only erase doubt from the minds of his haters and would leave pac miles ahead of anyone else in boxing today.

I have to admit im pretty dissapointed with the way the whole thing went down :-( Im not going to say i think hes juicing, no way.... but i think anyone who wants to remain logical and a critical thinker has say that its def a possibility.

Heres the thing, pacs involvement in negotiations gets overrated, its his team that does that, top rank, and the like. Now, his conditioning coach says 'pac doesnt even know what i give him' right? i believe he said that.... mix that with pacs continual statements of just HOW MUCH he doesnt know what a steroid is, am i going to sit here and proclaim no way is pac taking PED's? No... from the sound of everything, and just how out of the loop it seems pac is in most things, he could very well be unaware (doesnt remove responsibility though, every fighter should know what they are taking)

I do NOT want to side with mayweather on this.... i really, really dont. But the fact is Pac turned down the biggest payday, and the most meangingful fight of his life, because of a drug test every other fighter just about would take.

I understand the whole 'Mayweather doesnt make the rules', i understand that, but this is boxing and these type of things (they are called, stipulations) happen in every fight, wether it be ring size, glove size, where its held, ect.

And the fact that both sides tried so hard to make this fight, and it was all killed because pac wont take a drug test just leaves me scratching my head.

I like pac, in fact hes my second or third favorite active fighter....

I wish he would have just called mayweathers bluff and took the damn tests, they take hardly any time to do and take hardly any blood :-(

And i cant just NOT hold this against pac, am i still a fan? of course... no doubt about it. But im not going to just give him a slide on not fighting the most meaningful opponent in the biggest fight in boxings recent HISTORY because of that, and then goes on to fight CLOTTEY (solid fighter? yep.... should he be challenging p4p kings and the world elite at this stage? no. He should be having fights with his peers like Collazo, Berto, Angulo, Quintana, then when he beats a few of his peers it would be logical he gets set up for these monumental type fights)

Meanwhile, mayweather is fighting Shane Mosley....

I dont know man..... all i can say is i hope, i really freaking hope that Pac fights at least fights the winner of mayweather/mosley, or bradley, before he quits, otherwise pac vs clottey is one of the most anti climatic fights of all time (considering what should be happening in its place and it being supposedly pacs last fight)

anyways, no i dont think pac is juicing, and at the same time, pacs last couple fights have been - Cotto - Hatton - Hoya

Mayweather just had an easy ass tuneup and vacation, i think its fair pac has a fight against a non 'elite' like clottey (funny enough this fight will probably be tougher then any of those, and those fights were actually very easy outtings, but people dont realise how hard pac trains and those training camps still take their toll)

anyways.... just my opinions and thoughts on the matter.

    well put kirk....
i feel like that too, but what pushes me over the edge into thinking that he was/is on ped's is the simple fact that they walked away from one of the biggest fights EVER......forget the money, i mean obviously money dosn't mean much to manny (he seems to be a giver), but legacy wise i think that decision is what shot me to the left..........

I see, so Cintron avoided Clottey in order to fight Martinez? I'm pretty sure that had nothing to do with the fact he was getting paid more to fight Martinez.

that's what I'm saying man. Clottey is a high risk / low reward fighter that people want to avoid fighting because he has a great chance to beat most of the top WWs on any given night and doesn't generate the big dollars.

You say Cintron prefered to fight Martinez at 154 than Clottey at 147. I think that says alot right there about Clottey how Clottey is high risk, low reward.

    Most sensible answer so far.

Also I don't think the whole issue was already settled. This issue remains to be scrutinized further. There's no definite answer yet.

Is Floyd really committed to start "cleaning up" boxing after 13 years and 40 pro fights in boxing? Or he just concocted this Olympic style drug testing for boxing just to make fight negotiations difficult for some of his prospective tougher opponents?

Why is Floyd not rallying behind Boxing Commissions for his clean up drive?

Is Floyd not using any banned / illegal drugs?

    So many questions still...

You have nothing to worry. Manny didn't sue Malignaggi (not yet) and I'm sure he won't sue you too.

Manny didn't even care or noticed what Malignaggi is blabbing about.

Up to now there's nothing credible to based it on so no, he isn't. All we have are suspicions - for the haters that's enough.

And Manny won't sue a nobody.
