the writing was on the wall IMO.... vitali (to me) has looked old in the ring lately and im glad hes getting out before someone beats him due to age. Hes already proved he can fight and win while being past his prime.... and with haye not wanting to fight him it seems, and valuev not wanting to (or king i should say) theres not a whole lot out there.

It'll be a shame to lose a fighter like him in an already pretty bare division. Just hope we get a couple of top fights out of him.

he's taking care of his health. If he takes on Haye, that will be a good draw.

Vit could walk away now. Valuev and haye both have punked out from a fight with the Dr, and he has already cleaned out the rest of the division.
Whatever he doesn't clean up younger brother Wlad will come behind with
the dustpan that's for sure. Nobody is beating these klitschkos, not even
    doivit haye.

Ah well, good for the division overall. Never an atg heavyweight but easily the best of a bad bunch, and a gentleman.

Sounds like he's only sticking around to see if there's any chance to get Haye in the ring. The man should bring that or Valuev to L.A...the man has proven that win or lose, there is a Klitschko who can sell out and entertain an American crowd. I wish it was Wlad, but he was wants to fight like a chess player. That's why HBO won't pick up the Chambers fight. He seemed like he finally had his big brother's fury when he laid out Byrd and Brock, but since then he bores time and again while dominating. I'd root for Chambers, but that ******* bores crowds just as bad (watch his fights with Peter and Povetkin for proof).

It's a poor divison overall though.

The resume means little. Vitali is a fighter, Wlad's an athlete.

I wish him best as I kept hearing he looked old in the Johnson fight thank God I didn't see that fight. Off topic but what was the last great fight in the heavyweight division?

I would like to see him get a real fight. Not somebody who doesn't know what to do or decides they don't want to actually fight or shows up in **** shape, etc. One real ****ing fight with a name opponent. Win or lose.

Probably Vitali/Lennox. Maybe Vitali/Sanders...? And even then some wouldn't take those into consideration.

Vitali would of not been KO'ed like baby brother. I disagree with you saying that Wlad is the better of the two. Manny built Wlad to where he is as he did with Lewis. Injuries is what hampers Mr. Vitali. I can see it now, Wlad gets KO'ed and Vitali comes out of retirement for revenge. That got old fast.
