    taken from boxrec forum

At todays pressconference in Herning, Denmark, Carl Froch's promotor Mick Hennesy said that he tomorrow will announce a good british television agreement for the upcoming supersix fight between Mikkel Kessler and WBC champion Carl Froch, lionheart-boxing.dk writes.

""It's not easy with british television, but we have reached an agreement we are very happy with", Hennesy says and adds: "We can feel that Carl is about to be a household name and he deserves it. Carl is the best of the 3 british world champions today."

Hennesy gives Haye credit but doesn't understand Amir Khan. He goes on to add that: "Carl is the best of the three of them. He's the most complete fighter, he's got the brains, physics, toughness, will and (silky-smooth......) skills. He has it all

I'm a bit pissed off by that part of his quote to be honest. It is NOT difficult to get a fight as significant as Froch vs Kessler onto British screens and far worse fights have been aired. Maybe is Mick Hennessey offered the fight at more a realistic price for television companies then the fight would be an easy sell.

Not easy to get a British world champion who has been in some really terrfic fights over the last few years including one of the best world championship fights of recent times against Pascal on tv? Never mind the quality of opposition that Carl is up against in his next fight or the epicness of the super 6?

    Hennesey is a nobhead.

Mick Hennesey is a great guy. Love the man. What he is trying to do with his gifted set of fighters is admirable.

Anyway, it's good news that this will be on the TV, hopefully Council telly and not Sky.

lets be realistic, bbc itv and 5ive are out the window in this current climate, mick knows the primetime buys were poor and what with this talk of haye and khan and mick saying its a tv deal we're pleased with im guessing it will be sky box-office.

to be honest i doubt hatton will fight again and sky need someone to fill his boots, it was only a matter of time and sky were waitiing to see if froch was the real deal.

As long as it's not Showtime or whatever that online PPV nonsense that Froch was on for his last fight.

Primetime will be showing it I think, the BBC have already stated that they can't afford to show these type of fights, ITV has pretty much almost stopped showing boxing, so that leaves Sky.

the fact that the Froch-Taylor fight was shown on ITV by 24 hour delay backs that up. They even streamed the fight on the internet for £7.

Can't get Primetime (I'm on Virgin Media), and not keen on streams (official or otherwise), so really hoping this makes it to proper tv. I hope it's Sky or ITV. If it's on Sky, what's the likelihood of it being PPV?
