I did not read that article, but let me say that Edie Chambers is in no way "preparing the right way". You don't prepare to become heavyweight champion in one training camp. Champions make careers out of working hard. If Chambers prepared the right way, he would have a string of impressive victories. He'd look great fighting these bums in today's division. We'd know he was the real deal when we saw him. What we have seen is a lazy, frequently overweight fighter who coasts. He does the bare minimum. He's just another lazy fighter who is going to go in there and not know what to do when a true professional is in front of him. Chambers will stand there while Wlad hits him with jabs all night long.

The only way Chambers wins is by some sort of fluke. He does nothing well, and certainly does nothing better than Wlad.

Exit Eddie Chambers.

 

Wladimir is big but he is fast and can move very well for a big man his size. Wlads boxing skills makes the difference to win the fight not his size.

Wlad will win by KO.

 

Decent article. Its good to know Chambers is working hard. When he gets KOed, he'll be able to say he gave it his all and did the best he could.

I just hope Eddie doesn't show up fat. Every Wlad opponent talks a good game before they fight him. They also try training for once in their previous fight, only to show up in worse shape for their title shot. Once they feel that jab, they become tentative.

I doubt Chambers can overcome the size issue, but hopefully he at least shows up like a man who wants to win. That doesn't mean he should open up his defense to get caught with something stupid though. He should force Wlad to have to impose himself to get a stoppage in this fight. Wlad is the much bigger man.

Even though Calvin Brock forced Wlad to open up, I think he was only able to because of his awkward movement. Chambers moves a lot better than Brock, but only when he's in shape. How many times has that happened in his career? :smoke

For once, I thought Wlad was behind on the scorecards in the Brock fight before he caught him with that nasty right hand. But I don't think people remember how flustered Wladimir was that night before Rds 6 and 7.

Nevertheless, Wlad does not lose UD's. :nono He adjusts in there when he has to and I see him having the tools to get a corner stoppage/UD in this one. If Eddie wants to win, the competition starts outside of the ring. The Klitschkos win these fights outside of the ring by being in shape and more disciplined.

Eddie needs to be in even better shape than he was for Dimitrenko in order to give it his best shot.

 

I think that is a very good possibility.

 

I think Chambers has the biggest chance of beating Klitschko than any fighter Klitschko has faced in the last few years.

 

Even if Chambers would make it close in cards, Wlad would get the win because fight is in Germany.

Chambers would need to totaly dominate to get decission there.

 

Eddie definitely has some skills. I don't disagree with you on that one bit. I thought he was taxing Povetkin thoroughly in the first 5/6 rounds. It was more of a case of Eddie losing than Povetkin winning that fight. But does Eddie Chambers have the tools to beat Wladimir Klitschko? That's what we're about to find out now.

Styles make fights. Wlad is a skilled big man. Eddie is also skilled, but an average sized man. This is a fight where Chambers will have to show that he is great, not just good. This really is a chance for him to shock the world.

 

People are saying that Chambers is better skilled than Brock. I disagree. While Chambers does one thing very well, Brock had more tools. None of them particularly impressive, but he was an all around fighter. Against Wlad, the one thing that Chambers does well will not be an asset. It will be a negative.

Chambers can sort of bend back to ride off incoming punches. Then he can fire a quick one-two. What Chambers can not do is move. His footwork is non-existent. Against a tall and powerful opponent, Chambers can lean back and still get slammed with a right hand. Wald is too big and his timing is too good. You need to have foot movement to get in and out on Wlad.

Chambers may have been able to beat Brock, but the old saying about styles is true. Against Klitschko, Chambers will do a lot worse than Brock.

its simple no way chambers out jabs wlad! he has to plan to hang with wladimir
(as long as he can) and perhaps he can make wlad work so hard that he is gonna tire in the later rounds! but thats a big if! i believe chambers is gonna get some good shots in here and there but wlad will be in control!
