How far @ world level can Kevin Mitchell go ???

I also thought he would struggle against Prescott but only because I saw him trying to get into a war. Prescott had already been exposed and is quite easy to outbox and, unlike many others, I was not suddenly convinced that we have a good/great boxer in Kevin Mitchell: just a guy whose camp had done their homework.

Katsidis is the most over rated fighter on this forum and possibly in the world , Graham Earl dropped him , Juan Diaz gave him a boxing clinic and Casamayor stopped him 18 months ago !!!!!!

Katsidis is tailor made for a boxer / puncher like Mitchell , its the Valero's , Diaz and Funeka's of the world i think Mitchell may come up short against down the line !!!!!

 

Have to agree totally ... Kat isnt as good as people make out .. exciting yeah but the new Mitchell style wins this comfortably :good

I think Mitchell will fight anyone, he's been out injured for a lengthy period, and has been pretty active since his return during the middle of last year.

It will be interesting to see how he deals with Katsidis' non stop pressure, but I think Mitchell will win by a wide UD.

 

OMG Mitchell beat Prescott...he must the greatest boxer in the world. No one can defeat him. Sure he looked pretty **** against a shot to **** Carl Johanneson but that was ages ago.

 

Mitchell can beat Valero, who is massively overrated IMO.

EXCLUDING MARQUEZ (!!!!) I'd say Funeka is the best there at the moment, and can't see Mitchell putting him away. He managed to stifle a far better technician than Campbell and I'm not sure Mitchell could get the kd's that Nate did to force the fight in his favour. Funeka would win on points I think.

Katsidis is winnable, but both guys are similar fighters, guys that can box a bit but love a good tear-up. Katsidis is no doubt the more proven but he's not exactly an 'Elite' level fighter himself (well he may be considered nowadays, which says it all for the modern game) but nonetheless I'll be rooting for Mitchell all the way (unless he fights Funeka, who I'm a big fan of) :good

 

Casmayaor and Juan Diaz-Both better than Mitchell.

Escebedo-Arguably better than Mitchell.

Graham Earl-Granted, it was a war. But fighters change and Katsidis has obviously improved since that fight, and the KD was one of the most brief touchdowns I've ever seen.

Ok the KD was not a flash KD , he was all but done , if Earl had a little bit left upstairs after getting knocked down on several occasions he would of should of stopped him !!!!!!

Casamayor is shot , thats a fact , and at this point cant make 135 but if he could he would be a good fight for Mitchell , at the time of the fight Casa was shot that was my point , as for Diaz , i agree with you he's a better fighter than Mitchell , however Diaz is a puncher / boxer , not a boxer / puncher and he stood behind his boxing and gave Katsidis a lesson in boxing , that shows you how good Katsidis all out pressure style is !!!!!

 

Yup but so has Mitchell :good ..... Mitchell is very good and his fight game has improved no end .... top bloke hope he gets there !

Anyway , Valero over rated , did you see the De Marco fight ???? if not i suggest you watch it , then im pretty sure you'd be looking at Mitchell getting KTFO !!!!!

As for Funeka i agree he's a top fighter , very tall for a LW , tremendous jab and un beleivable output , he was robbed against Campbell and Guzman !!!!! , but he for me is #2 in the world behind Valero !!!!!
