I see him going far in the Lightweight division and unifying the titles(If Valero goes up to 140). But I don't see him in the 140 pound division. Too much talent and I don't think Mitchell can dominate there.

    I like Mitchell. Entertaining fighter.

Katsidis fight has FOTY written all over it. Not sure whether Mitchell has much of a chin. He took some decent shots against Prescott but no real bangers. If he's got a chin, he beats Katsidis in my opinion.

After Kat, division is fairly heavy without being loaded. Agree with whoever said Guzman is a party piece. Mitchell could do worse than to get that fight made (except Guzman would end up pulling out).

After that things get difficult. A Valero fight would make sense to both fighters in a few months. Good test for both with the winner getting real kudos and the loser still in and around the top level.

At this moment, I dont see Mitchell beating the rest of those named.

Couple of importants factors with Kev- Jimmy tibbs and Frank Warren. Categorically no way will over-portective Warren put him in with Valero and Tibbs, as we saw with prescott wont allow his lad to get into the sort of needless scrap he did on that off night (yes its allowed he did win after all!) with johannsen.

Kevs a good size at lightweight, have no idea how he managed to get down to s/f for so long! I think he beats Katsidis, he's very quick on his feet got a solid chin and counter punches smartly and strong enough to win a close points decision. Katsidis' work rate and heart will see him take a few rounds especially early on and last the bell but he'l get caught comin in and the more eye catchin stuff will come from Mitchell.

Would love to see him fight John Murray or Gavin Rees at the o2/upton park etc but wont hold my breath. Kev didnt fight all the other top domestics at s/f like Burns or even Foster Jr. his skills are underrated but i dont think he's quite at the valero jmm funeka level yet.

This'l sound crazy, but... Barrera?? Khans names been mentioned already by Kev and Frank so there'l be another common opponent, still ridiuclously ranked and a name even a faded 1. Makes stupid boxing common sense to me!!

Valero is a walking KO waiting to happen...anyone with a bit of patience and technique will one day take advantage of Valeros stupid habit of hanging his chin out every time he throws any kind of shot...why can't that person be Mitchell? I would give him more chance against Valero than I would against Katsidis

It doesn't matter what level he has fought at, he is still capable of taking advantage of valeros glaring flaw.

Nah he is not. Mitchell is good but not in the class of the guys at the top of the division.

I don't think that Valero is anywhere near the top table...I am beyond surprised that someone hasn't sparked him already

    Don't think so pal.

Okay, the insults can stop. But I have watched the DeMarco fight, and I don't think Katsidis waqs 'out' against Earl.

Basically, Valero is not that good.
