He's already lining up Winky Wright to get out of fighting Bute.
Walk the walk, who cares about the talk.

Winky Wright might be signing up with the guy who happens to promote KP, and suddenly he's "lining him up"? Get the **** outta here. And anyway, if Winky can regain some form, he could be one of the best fighters at 160, which would more than merit a Pavlik/Wright showdown.

Anyway, it's not as if he's obliged to be fighting Bute, who fights at 168, you see. That's not actually Pavlik's weight class; Pavlik fights at Middleweight. I know all these weights can be confusing to little girls. Don't worry about it. :good

The article also stated that when he moves to 168, he will stay there. If he fights Bute at 168, win or lose, he wont be going down to middle again. Before he moves up, he should fight felix.
Fight a warm up at 168, Brian Magee(southpaw),Librado Andrade,Andre Dirrell
Then fight Bute, them whip AA.
Super Super middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik

Pavlik would be well-advised to stay away from Dirrell. We'll see if Andre shows any heart against Abraham, but if he finds his competitive identity, he has a style that's all wrong for Kelly.

Yeah... I don't think Ytown really meant to say "Dirrell" in the same sentence as "Tune-up"

I'll give him a chance to retract that one.:good

I thought the b-hop fight was a catch weight fight at 170. 2 pounds above SMW and 5 pounds below LHW???

160 isn't Martinez' weight class either, boy. And yet he's moving up to take the fight.

The only other true legitimate middleweight champion of the past 2 years was AA and he was ducked left and right, up and down by Pavlik and Arum.

So Pavlik will either continue to fight 160 lb tomato cans, look for any 154 lber not named PWilliams or build his legacy against shop worn vets such as Winky.

Never forget how Pavlik ducked Arthur Abraham. It's in the history books.

For as much as people hate arum, him signing this fight is excellent.

I call bull ****. Show me a link to the offer Saurland made for this fight other than running his mouth in the press. I'll save you some time. The offer was NEVER made. Period. End of. There was never enough money to make this fight happen in the states and Saurland never made a pitch to hold it in Germany.

Assuming Pavlik moves up with more muscle than he did against Hopkins and assuming that one day he gets a real trainer, I think he could beat Froch, Kessler and Abraham. I wouldn't be surprised if he lost any of the three, but Kessler is faded and the other two guys are stationary.

He also might beat Direll if Andre doesn't figure out that you can't win fights by running.

Agree that Ward would dominate him and he would get KTFO by Dawson and probably by Pascal, too. He'll never do anything at 175, IMO, but he doesn't need to. He can have a great, lucrative career at 160 and 168.
