Does anyone besides me think that Clottey's gonna rough Pacquiao up?

I mean to the point where he wished he chose another opponent?

Actually not one tiny bit either , Clottey is just gonna be an over sized punch bag , his output is way too low to stop Pacquiao , he has a solid jab but doesnt use it enough and just tucks up behind his jab .

I dont see this fight going any other way than Pacquiao doing exactly what he wants with Clottey until the referee intervenes , thats just my opinion .

How will Clottey rough Pacquiao up? He fades when the lights are brightest and throws in ungodly few number of punches.

:huh lets see Clottey = Cotto. Pacquiao > Cotto. Therefore Pacquiao > Clottey.

 

If Clottey shows up to box and focuses mainly on winning with the jab, he can win.......

......but if he shows up like Cotto with the mentality that he's the bigger fighter and therefore is going to rough Pacroid up, like Cotto, he will get dominated.

 

it's easy to make this **** up and be haled as genius later. But the fact is even you don't believe Clottey is going to rough Pac up.

Clottey is a mere stooge in this fight.

 

Yes. Because he's got as good a right hand(or even better) as Marquez and Morrales, has a longer reach and tighter defense. He hits hard and clean, is very durable and has a solid chin and body that can withstand power punches without noticeable effect. He can throw very fast combinations with either or both hands. He is a very technical fighter who leaves few openings to be hit clean and exploits his opponents openings. He is also going to be bigger, heavier and stronger and is going to be pressuring Pac all night from behind a tight guard that negates surprise and angles.

Marquez and Morrales didn't outhrow Pac, they just outlanded him. Accuracy is the key. Not volume. His volume is ok if he can keep up his accuracy.

He is going to fight at a measured pace whiles Pac does all the running around throwing showy punches that will be blocked. He'll be landing the cleaner punches. By the 4th round you'll see the effects on Pac's face. That is when he'll turn up the heat. He plans to use the first half to slow Pac down by hitting hard and clean single shots to the body and head. That minimises the risk of being countered by Pac's speed. He'll then use the second half to break a less mobile Pac down.


That's my take on his strategy so far.
