Arum believes they will get 70,000 in the seats at Dallas. It is set up for 40,000. I don't think they'll get half that, because Clottey is not a big name outside of hardcore fans. What are your thoughts? Footnote: They undercard may help boost the attendance.
the fight has already sold 35k man, do your research. that 35k figure was 2 weeks ago btw so it must have done like 5-10k in the last 2 weeks to 40-45k so far
I think you will be surprised. This isn't the Youngstown Rodeo Center we're talking about here. It's Texas Stadium, and people are going to pay by the thousands to see Clottey shock the world.
You're eating up the spin from Arum/Top Rank. Just because they announce that "30,000 tickets have been sold" doesn't mean it's true. Attendance numbers are always blown up and exaggerated. I'd estimate 30-35k will be there for Pac/Clottey, which is a nice crowd for a so-so fight.
No. This is not that impossible. Tyson was a 42-1 favorite in that fight. Now if you're telling me that there are odds like that in this fight, I need to holla at my boy in Vegas.
you know the odds are pretty good here for a pac decision because everyone in the uk thinks it will be a knockout you can basically get double your money back if pac wins by decision, bet quiet a bit on it already.

I think those numbers have been exaggerated. I'm saying 15 to 20 k... NBA... A rodeo wouldn't do well in Y-town, unless it involved the clowns being able to car-jack the bull riders.
Big boost of sales when it goes on sale, steady until last week of sale. The fight will easily do over 40k, in fact I think it could reach 60k but its configured for 45k.
No way. The last time Pacquiao fought in Texas, there was nearly 15K in attendnace and that was against Jorge Solis over three years ago.
Maxx, thanks! I did not know that. I realize Pac is the draw, but didn't think Clottey would help bring in any numbers. I knew Soto, Diaz, Gomez, and Castillo would help the attendance...
I edited my post, after you quoted me...but the attendance was actually closer to 15k. Another thing, Jorge Arce and Chavez Jr. were both on the undercard, and I'm sure that helped boost ticket sales. The card had one of the highest grossing gates in Texas history. Regardless, with Manny becoming a household named, the Latino undercard, and the whole idea of the fight taking place at Cowboys Stadium, I think the fight will do better than we're all expecting it to do.
