Yeah, that's weak. Was there a reason why he turned it down?

I thought that with a solid latino undercard they would do well but the best fight they could muster up was Soto vs David Diaz? not very strong.

With guys like Valero, Montiel, Margarito, Arce, etc. on his roster... Arum should've been able to put together something better.

The novelty of a big fight happening at Cowboys Stadium for the first time ever should boost ticket sales.

And this will be aggressively promoted locally. Think about new boxing fans attending(or just plain curious).

Fan, plus I do a local ESPN boxing radio show in the Midwest/ East Coast. I was curious of the draw this fight would have, for several reasons:

    1) Pac and Floyd not going forward.
    2) Clottey not being a big name.
    3) Texas Stadium hosting it... And
    4) a barometer of non-mexican, head-lining fight shows in Texas... But,

Mostly curiousity. Pac vs Floyd would have put a 100k in those seats.

did stadium officials mention how many of those tickets were bought by top rank right off the bat?

25K is in the bag for sure.

I say a little under 40k. 45K would not surprise me. Anything above that would shock me.

Then again, the stadium might be one of those places that just sells itself. Meaning, people would go there to party no matter the event.

    :deal

I never hought of this, quite honestly. And it makes sense. Arum is trying to pass this off as an "Event" by any means necessary. He thought he was pulling out all the stops when he signed a guy in his own stable.

Then the Hurricane happened and the Shane-Berto fight was cancelled.

Well hopefully most people will see this for the cherry picked ripoff that it is and realize they could just rewatch cotto PAC instead of paying for this because it's the same fight

this will be a full house attendance but not a good draw on PPV considering the Filipino and Mexican population in texas.
