Spinks vs Bundrage and Forbes vs Rees were supposed to be on this card. Now Im seeing this on ESPN Devon Alexander vs. Juan Urango, 12 rounds, WBC/IBF junior welterweight unification; Juan Ubaldo Cabrera vs. Durrell Richardson, 12 rounds, junior middleweights; Marcus Oliveira vs. Jerson Ravelo, 12 rounds, light heavyweights; Derric Rossy vs. Zack Page, rematch, 8 rounds, heavyweights; Steve Forbes vs. Harrison Cuello, 10 rounds, junior welterweights; Antonio Sanchez vs. TBA, 4 rounds, junior welterweights; Andres Navarro vs. James Hope, 4 rounds, lightweights
I read somewhere Spinks-Bundrage got pushed back due to Cory's issues with weight. HBO is only televising the main event of that card, but they also have the Road To Dallas Pacquiao-Clottey special on that same night.
Spinks trainer dumped him because he came to camp over 200lbs. This has been brewing for some time. I use to get my haircut at the same place as spinks trainer and the word is he just isnt as dedicated to the sport as he use to be. Too much night life
Yeah I was really considering going to see this fight, but without Spinks-Bundrage and Forbes-Reese. I'm not sure if it would be worth it? It may still be since Dirrell-Abraham won't even be on TV that night. So its the only televised fight for that day.
I agree, is not a bad fight but a nice doubleheader would have been nice for the fans. Oh well!! :admin
Yep, Dan Rafael said it's cos King is the promoter and he's got no other HBO worthy fighters or something.
I have unification bout wood. But if the rest of the fights were better, the quality of the wood would be higher.
