I agree to an extent, but I do think Foreman is a good fight for him at 154. Though I wouldn't like his chances against many in that division outside of Yuri. Hopefully, this is one and done deal and he finishes his career at 147. But I'm not sure if that's the plan.

Some big shot lawyer who was involved with the financing of Yankee stadium had a bar mitzvah scheduled for his son the same evening. They wanted to use the stadium's big screen during the ceremony, which wouldn't have been possible with the fight taking place at the same time.

that entire story sounds dumb anyway. How long is a ceremony? Is it a half hour? Then put it on the big screen before the PPV begins or in between the co-feature and the main event, while they kill time. No matter what, this would have never have been a deal breaker. Just a bigger $ Bar Mitvah gift for the kid at worst.

Yeah, it sounds silly..but apparently it was an issue. I think they wanted to use the big screen for 30 minutes according to Arum, who also found this to be amusing.

maybe an issue, a very very minor issue. Let's not start taking Arum at his word. Snake oil.

Can this fight really generate enough crowd to be in a stadium?

What was the gate attendance for Cotto-Judah at MSG?

Never underestimate determined Jews, especially now that Salita has been exposed.

Somewhere around 21k. It was a record crowd for a Boxing match at MSG.

I ain't missing this one either. Cotto is a top quality fighter who is always in great fights, and the Boricuas know how to bring down the house.

I just hope we get a good undercard.

either way any excuse to go to NYC is a good one!
