    Which incidently is the same chance as a meteorite coming from out of space and smashing through Mikes head

    Tyson KO within 5 for the lot, most earlier

    Now, less than a year before Spinks, Tyson was extended to 12 by Tony Tucker. The Tony Tucker Bruce Seldon KO'd.

    Are you saying that all of the above are easier to dispatch than Tucker?

    Those fights were about 7-8 years apart, and also divided by a layoff.... I don't think that Seldon fought the same version of Tucker that Tyson did, and if we're honest, I don't think that Tucker fought the same cautious fight against Seldon that he did against Tyson.... irrelevant comparison.....Let's move on...

    Well maybe... There were also plenty of men who took those guys the distance, whereas their best opponents couldn't..... So where do we go with this?

    Tucker came to survive , he took no chances, just hung on for dear life and he was a 35-0 titlist Spinks avoided. If you actually show up to win you take more chances and consequently get hit and hurt. tucker went 12 with Lewis too, went 53-2 and Seldon never Ko'd Tucker, the stoppage was due to his damaged eye and he was 36 by that stage

    These fighters are undersized LHWs, who I just dont like as a group against Tysons offense or big easy to hit slow types, who I also dont like against Tyson. Stylistically its Iron Mike all day

    Yeah, Tucker was actually freakishly tough to be fair. I just don't think taking chances means a fighter is automatically KO'd because guys were able to last the distance in title fights by fighting conservatively. There are fighters good enough to frustrate and attack at the same time without getting KO'd.


    Baer was bigger than Tyson and hit harder probably than any guy Mike ever faced. You might disagree, but he'd be the best puncher he took on in his prime and certainly the hardest to KO. I don't think Mike stops him in five.
