With the mafia involvement in the 30s-60s, we know about plenty of fixed fights, someone we probably have no idea about, it obviously could make us judge fighters incorrectly if we hold thrown fights against them and credit a throw fight to another man, so lets make a list (feel free to add)

Robinson - carried opponents to decisions instead of going for KOs
Cocoa Kid - notorious fight thrower
    Lamotta - blatant dive
    Liston-Ali -???? (we'll never know)

    Others??

Wasn't there a lot of rumors about Paez throwing fights towards the end of his career?

I wonder if allot of fighters do this, we know fighters just fight on to pick up pay towards the end but is there anything a bit more corrupt sometimes? Some fighters fall abnormally quickly from grace, but that can just be a fighter getting old overnight

    Slapsie Maxie too!

Honest Abe :hey Attell and 'The Real' McCoy deserve mentions as well, me thinks!

You're right, it happened much more than people are willing to admit back in the day.

You reckon? I would say that was more incompetence on Walcott's part. If Liston took a dive, why was he up fighting Ali when the fight was stopped?
