I have him at 10. If Manny were to retire today id put him around 15,based on the amazing accomplishment of jumping from fly to welter, his resume probably at least equals Chavezs but HTH i think Chavez beats him.

Depends on the weight but I really think JCC would be too much for Pac

How would Manny have done against Rosario, Camacho, and Taylor?
How would Chavez had fared against Morales from the first pac fight, Barrera, Marquez, Hatton, and Cotto?

I'm not mentioning Whitaker because we all know who really won that one.

Chavez would have beaten all the of the 3 great Mexicans, and he would have defeated Marquez more convincing. Id even pick a prime Chavez to move up and beat Cotto, at 140 he surely beats him

As for Manny well he better hope Rosario dont put one of his haymakers on him, only a select few(like Chavez) could take that. As for Camacho yey Manny takes that by decision he would have the (JW) version of Camacho on his bike big time, Although id say a prime Camacho at JL or Lightweight is almost even money with Pac.

Taylor:think:think:think:think Thats a tough one would be a great fight but Pac would probably have enough speed and power to eventually get Taylor at 140. 147 he kills Taylor at 140 id say 60/40 Pac.

Good call. It's actually a tough call. Rosario's punch output was held back by Chavez taking much of his leverage away with his perfect in fighting. His head movement was insane on the inside in his prime. The guy in such a small space is aware of everything his opponent is doing. I agree that Sanchez wins against Pac but with Chavez vs Pac it would be a pick on faith. Yes, Chavez' body work is great but Pac's lefts to the body are seriously underrated. As Barrera said, Pac's body blows take all the fight out of you.

This is a tough call, but if the fight is at 130lbs or 135lbs I would have to still favor Chavez.

JCC had an incredible chin, and his footwork at those weights and the ability to walk you down was incredible. He used a jab well to set up his punches when he got close and he had the tools to beat a southpaw (not including Pernell).

Manny could win the fight but it would be a mistake to brawl with Chavez, because when JCC was young he didn't cut or bruise really and Manny has throughout his career.

I would take JCC by TKO due to cut and or swelling.

big manny fan here, remember tha pacquiao got ko from a body shot from some bum early is his career, and chavez had one of the best left hook to the body in history,it was a pinpoint left to the liver that chavez was great at,a prime chavez was simply unbeateable, manny style is not the right style to beat chavez.

I think its funny some people want to boil Chavez down into just some basic come forward fighter...when he proved he was fair more multi faceted then that many times in his career.

The more Manny proves himself at these weights the better his argument for winning this fight is but I still dont see it. At the very least I see Chavez taking a series. Manny might get the jump on him in one fight, but Pac is still to hittable for my liking and Chavez wont wilt like Hatton, Cotto and old man Hoya did.

I really do think people are gushing at the vag far to much because of Manny's last 4 fights...which were amazing but cant see how that makes him a lock to beat a legend like Chavez.
If he takes out Mayweather and/or Mosley...then I might change my tune. Though I still think Chavez is better then both of them and of course is different stylistically.

In all honesty as soon as i read the title i immediately in my mind went with Chavez.....Chavez was so relelntless and tough as hell in his prime.Although Pac does have the skill to run away with something but winning and running are not in his repotoire and that could lead to his downfall against someone like Chavez.

I don't care at what weight, but the question is: is this proposal with roids or without them.... with pacquiao roiding as he currently does, he's unbeatable, but in a fair leveled match paquiao would probably not get past the 4th... at any weight against Chavez!!
