@140 Pac had a decent win against a shell-shocked Hatton whereas
    Chaves' 140 resume is extensive.

Gotta go with Chavez at anything below 140!

It doesn't matter. Neither Marco nor Erik would be able to stand up to JCC. I love MAB, but he gets stopped cold in this fight unless he decides to box and move, ditto for Erik. They're both warriors who would come right into the teeth of JCC's attack, particularly Erik. Same goes for JMM, although Juan might decide to box and move and survive for the whole 12.

I think Manny was draining himself to make weight until he finally was allowed to move to 140, and it's only now that we're seeing him at full speed and power. A weight drained MP doesn't beat JCC. At 140 I think he would win the exchanges and take a decision. He doesn't stop JCC, and I don't think JCC can corner him long enough to bang that body like he would at 130 and 135, the return fire would be too hot from Manny to sucessfully keep him on the ropes.

IF Manny gets crazy, which he is liable to do as he LOVES a fight, and decides he's just going to bang it out with JCC he might get stopped in the later rounds after a vicious 12 rd. body attack by JCC. Manny would be throwing bombs to his head the whole fight if he stands and trades, and JCC is pretty close to un-knockoutable.

Manny would run Camacho out of the ring at any weight... Macho would be moving at warp speed trying to please god not get hit again like that. Chavez would murderize Cotto at 140. Cotto fights somewhat similar to JCC, but slower, not as fluid in his combinations and not nearly as elusive. He probably hits harder than Cotto as well, certainly to the body. JCC would put a horrible beating on him and knock him the **** out before the 6th rd.

Pacquiao can dazzle Chavez with combinations and land some very heavy blows. Chavez can apply intelligent pressure for 12 rounds, yet Cotto's body attack didnt sem to phase Pacquiao and he hits harder than Chavez.

At 130/135 I would favour Chavez slightly but at welter and 140 I would put money on Pac to win via points. At the end of the day it is boxers who give Pac trouble not come forward fighters, so the whole 'Chavez kills Pac' thing is stupid.

Agreed. They're both top shelf, elite ATG fighters and saying you know FOR SURE what would happen is ridiculous, you can only make educated guesses. I think I disagree about Cotto hitting harder than JCC though. When JCC hit people you could see their knees locking up on them lol... He didn't have that Ernie Shavers concussive type of power that puts you to sleep with one single shot, but everything he touched you with hurt, and hurt badly.

Of course neither could beat JCC, their smaller guys. It doesnt stop them from being "elite", also its all relative, Pac too was small. Both wouldnt stand a chance against Cotto either, yet both put up a better fight.

I dont think he was weight drained at 135.

I dont think Pac stops JCC but I think he wins a UD. Stylistically, I see Pac giving him hell. His footspeed, handspeed and movement just serves him very well. He will pick off his shots and he has got enough savvy to box when need be.

Well that's the big question right there. Yes, Pac will know in his head that he needs to box and move.... BUT.

I'm not sure that Pac will be able to help himself. When he gets hit hard, he loses his mind and goes ape**** on his opponent and I'm not sure he can control that impulse. IF he can keep his discipline, I go with Pac at 140.

Hey, if he's the winner he's the winner. My friend won £200 on my tip to bet on a KO of hatton inside 3 as did I, my mum won £500 on my tip to lay a bet on PAC TKO DLH in 8 (I was 1 rounds off, I put 9-12!) and I was 1 round off winning £200 on Pac TKO Cotto!

Not only are they right, their pretty accurate too. Stick with Pac, you wont loose a bet then, unless its a fantasy matchup, to which you may loose fantasy money

Pac's ring intelligence is severely underestimated. He tried to box with Cotto, tested his power, realised he could handle it and just went out on it. With DLH he boxed all the way. Im sure Pac wouldnt just go in there and trade with Chavez when he knows he cant stop Chavez and Chavez hits too hard for him.

Besides, Roach is in the corner, and Im sure Roach can give him a slap to fight smart.

You're a vomit inducing *******. Stop that now!

In all seriousness, Cotto ain't no Chavez, and neither are Hatton and DLH. ****, I'd have beat on the Oscar that turned up weighing 147lbs on fight night. This is a great competitive fantasy matchup that can conceivably go either way, but I dare say there's not a fantasy match up in which you would pick against Manny.

The biggest factor here would be that Pacquiao hasn't faced anyone who wouldn't go down, but instead would fight his way inside, work once inside, and press the issue for twelve rounds. If Marquez hadn't been knocked down four times, he probably would have won both matches against Pacquiao....and Morales did manage to win a decision over Pacquiao. Chavez was much stronger than Marquez or Morales, and was at least as talented as Marquez and more talented than Morales. I think that Chavez would win.
