I dont think Cotto's loss to Margarito took that much from him, i just think Cotto fought above himself for a while, but like all fighters he plateaued on a level where you would of expected him to get it to before he exceeded your expectations, essentially were we left with a reflection of how good Cotto was. I also think Cotto stance made a lot of his fights harder than they should of been because it left him so open to certain punches. I seem to remember Manny Steward commenting on how Cotto's stance concerned him, words to that effect anyway.

Bones Adams was weird, he was in keeping to the thread in that the Canizales fight did ruin him; too much, too young. But after a few more bad defeats, he did learn and came back strong in 1999/2000. Not many fighters do that, Clarence deserves a lot of credit.

That's a good one. I think Molitor broke his will and showed him the levels of world class. But also the loss of his mother really affected Micheal. Molitor's performance was slick and classy. Truly tamed the bigger man.

When i saw him fight for first time i thought we had something special...lacked power and looked podgy but was a young champion who was intense and had decent abilty and damn exciting to watch...then came along good old Nate Campbell..grandad the Galaxy Warrior...schooled the boy in the art of grinding.

Nunn was a fave of mine when I was a kid, mainly because my Dad really liked him. But yeah, agree with this.

Cant really think of any more that have not already been named.

I think we all Love Chico but i think the moment he stepped in with Floyd he was never the same destroyer that he looked. He become a vulnerable puncher who was fantastic to watch but didn't look the same guy. Maybe some will disagree...yes he had some epic wars and won some...but he never was the same fighter...we knew he could be beaten and the way he was beaten added to his vulnerability. He was weight drained in hindsight but he still had to take that beating from Floyd.

    RIP CHICO
