Because Lennox Lewis is considered by many to be one of the top ten greatest heavyweights of all-time (Particularly h2h) and David Haye has not fought anyone even remotely near the standard of opponent that Lewis regularly beat.

Most on here are probably taking into consideration the fact that a past prime Lewis beat "Prime" Vitali! The same Vitali who himself is now past prime, but who will probably still beat David!

I appreciate that this is Haye-Lewis, but I am using Klitschko to emphasise the gulf between David and Lennox!!

It may not be a one round ko, but I doubt that it would be competitive.

Of course Lewis is no superhero, but he's in another league than Haye of course and Haye doesn't have the chin to take Lewis punches for long.
We all know what happened with Lewis opponents who where in Haye's class with the exception of Rahman. Although Rahman got smoked in the rematch also.
I see Haye as a Herbie Hide clone, with a little bit less punching power.

And i think a red cape with a big LL on it would look very good on Lennox :D

Lewis, right after the staredown...unless he wants to box a bit. Haye is a fraud, and might lose to Ruiz.

I agree with this. Maybe if Haye runs pretty fast he may survive to 5-6th round. However Lewis by KO.

This. Haye and LL are in different leagues.

A prime LL has all the tools to win most of all fights against every prime HW boxer / ATG who ever danced in a ring. But he still was floored twice, and Haye has pop. So, punchers chance for Haye, if he catches LL daydreaming. Chances are below 10%.

You are right. However I dont know if these 2 losses were in Lewis prime. The second definitely wasnt in his prime. Lewis from 1997 was possibly the best h2h fighter of all time. I know its arguably for many people, but this is my opinion. If fighters like Akinwande, McCall and Golota couldnt pass first half of the fight, I dont give Haye (who is much smaller than them) a chance. Maybe as you say puncher chance, but its very, very low chance.

David is no fool, he would not go looking for a second fight with Lewis:).

Not to insult Haye, (that's overdone here as it is) but I'd even pick 2003 Lennox Lewis of the Vitali fight to KO Haye in the early rounds if he comes out fast in the first 30 seconds of each round.

Lewis might start a bit cautiously due to Haye's speed but Lennox stops him within 3.

Haye wouldn't beat a prime Frank Bruno so he wouldn't stand a chance against Lewis.

I can decide: Lewis by HORRIBLE KNOCKOUT within 90 seconds.

Lewis would pound him. Haye has done nothing to even be talked about being able to be Lewis. simply crazy
