Thats was in the tenth round of a brusing fight .... im afraid fitness levels come into play ! .... two tired fighters but no way a sloppy finish ... Valero was catching the guy full on in that tenth round but he just wouldnt go down ! ...a bit harsh :good
:good...totally agree ! ...when Haye hits they stay hit ... the guys finishes em .... Valuev was rocking like he never has before and thats due to hayes finishing power ! .... only the bell saved Valuev !
I would like him to show precision and coolness when the opponent is hurt, go to the body and bring your punches up, thats what good finishers do. Why do i want him to do that? because he will pay the price the more in class he moves up, he already has paid for it once.
Does it really matter. those 3 fights have one thing in common, Haye ended them early and within a moment of hurting them. A bad finisher is someone who hurts someone but doesnt get the KO. Jermain Taylor is a perfect example. Put Pavlik and Froch over and rocked Hopkins and Abraham. Froch is one of the most inaccurate punchers out there, he still finished off Taylor. Tyson doesnt look composed when he was finishing off. He is probs the best off all time at it. If your not a HUGE puncher like Haye then you need to be accurate and precise when finishing people. If your a huge puncher like Haye and Tyson, you get someone hurt and smash the **** out of them.
I see you just dont like the Hayemaker ! .... we all know his chin is his achilles heal .. but the guys a smart boxer , big punch , good feet , quick hands ... and has a top team behind him .... his gravy train could go on for along time as I see Haye beating the Klits .... his most dangerous fight would be Adamek IMO ....
he paid the price when he was a 10 fight novice, that got over matched in a fight he barley trained for. and he was trying to blast out a guy that has one of the hardest man with one of the best chins in british boxing history. FACT. Where is the move up in class, he is already a 2 weight world champion???
You may be right about the stamina .. but then again 10 rounds is the furthest hes been ... 27 KO's mind you does show spectaculor finishing power .... love him or hate him hes a warrior and great to watch ....
totally agree Adameck is a dangerous fight but Povetkin is a tougher fight for him. Adameck got rocked by Chad Dawson and Steve Cunningham who are not big punchers from lower weights. I think Arreola might sucker punch him to be honest. If Haye hits Adameck hes going down, it would be an exact replica of the Enzo fight. Povetkin is small, solid, quick, decent boxer with a good chin.............basically Hayes worst nightmare. Infact I think Povetkin will beat Wlad this year.
**** off - you make good points - but there is no need for the bull****. He got beat cos Thompson is a very durable fighter and world class. I'd pick a prime Crusierweight Carl Thompson over the current Haye. I remeber Haye saying in Boxing Monthly some time before the Thomspon fight back in 2003 / 2004 that he trains like a maniac.
Its not that i dont like Haye im saying what i see, what i see is a poor finisher. It seems he has a few die hards in here so i might just leave it there. Let em think he is a good finisher when he is clubbing away with his feet square :nut
Haye's most dangerous fight out there is probably Tua, but he isn't in a position to challenge Haye or the Klits yet so he can be avoided. Then its Wlad (just as dangerous as Tua), then Vitali IMO.
Fair point i forgot about Alexandar Povetkin - he does look very good and would give Haye problems .... I personally think Adamek is still growing into a heavy weight and will be a better fighter in 18 months time ... Arreola i think haye would have no problems with this guy Haye would be too quick and strong for him ... Arreolas a big lump but im not a big fan .... Now one fellow david tua .... ouch that could be interesting !!!
No I'm behind you pal There does seem alot of people who seem to think Haye's **** smells of roses here at the Brit Forum But its healthy to have people who make arguments against him
