In recent years it has the sod awful Froch/Dirrel farce. One man who couldn't box vs another who wouldn't.
As for shear bordom Johnny Nelson vs De Leon is abysmal and I've heard vs Warring is pretty bad to. Any others?

Many fights of Zsolt Erdei. His opponents were often awful and he is the kind of figher who ends to fight to the level of his opposition.

Foreman-Briggs was like that. One sided domination by Foreman that was ruled a victory for Briggs. Pretty boring fight because Briggs ran the entire time but Big George clearly won by any standard.

At a push,I'd also say that De Leon v Nelson was the most boring title fight I've ever seen. Nelson spent more time posing rather than punching.

Interms of 'excitement' we have a winner in Nelson/DeLeon clearly. But what about ability displayed (or lack of) in the ring.
Froch/Dirrel was shockingly bad, off hand I cant think of anything worse.

A few more to throw on the pile:

    Hopkins-Hakkar
    Byrd-Williamson
    Ruiz-Oquendo

In terms of actual ability displayed, Caballero-Lacierva was a pretty awful one.

Just a few weeks ago, Stieglitz-Acosta was appalling. Acosta has to have been the worst actual boxer I've ever seen in a title fight. Dude didn't even know how to throw a punch.

Froch-Dirrell was dreadful but at least Frochy was 'up for it'. Whenever he got close late on Dirrell just fell onto his knees

I agree. I'm certainly not Frochs biggest fan but there wasn't much he could do against someone who wouldn't fight. I think the ref was way too leinient with Dirrel.

It was probably the most frustrating fight to watch ever!

He was too lenient with both of them. Ref lost control of the fight.

I know many people think otherwise, but I thought Haye-Valuev was absolutely shameful. For me, Haye's "beautiful boxing" was just an ill-advised refusal to engage with someone who was patently there for the taking. Negative boxing is not always intelligent boxing. Haye could easily have fought aggressively but with caution, and made a huge statement by knocking his incompetent opponent out after a more productive and entertaining fight. The "fight" was ****ing diabolical, if I had paid to go over and watch that I'd be taking legal action against Haye right now.

Hopkins-Winky was pretty bad, and I'm a fan of both guys. I dunno how so many people came to the conclusion B-Hop won handily. I found it hard to choose between them by the end, the fight was so soporific.

just before i start these guys did alot to fet to this moment but still.

salido-cruz. was a fight between 2 VERY good but uspectacular journeyman.
davison-robinson. 2 fighters who shouldnt of anywhere near a title. gutsy performance by both
murphy-mutti. great finish but still, mutti out of his depth in terms of technique and ability, murphy with a lacko of stamina and shot only mentality.

Well supposedly Haye injured his hand early on so I think he shud b let off on that one. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/ot...olai-Valuev-to-win-WBA-heavyweight-title.html
