This is the only one on your list that I would take issue with.

I honestly don't think that Jackson was even an embryonic representation of what he would become when Farnan beat him. In this version of Jackson I do not see any of the traits that would go on to make him great.

I would give Joe Choynski more credit for beating a green Jack Johnson who was at least starting to show some of the traits that would make him great.

Yes it does! I can put Schmeling on number one on a all-time list. That does not happen often. Enough logic for me

You probably are right, but i liked it and it came to mind in the thread and was a great win.

Sometimes, I think that Pre prime wins are very underated. Usually when pre prime Greats fight other good or great fighters, they find a way to win. Jackson had been winning fights for a few years and the fight was definitely on the level (and farnan stopped Jackson twice). It is only a couple of years later that Jackson is said by many to be the standout challenger and better than John L Sullivan. It must have been a good win.

Your point about Choynski was a good one. I would consider putting him on the list, although Choynski's win was not quite as good as Marvin Hart's.

The Harry Wills that Langford beat was definitely a good fighter, also.

Tunney is worth of consideration for the old Dempsey that he beat.

This type of ranking system throws up some interesting questions. For instance, who would you rank higher Hasim Rahman or Oliver McCall. Which version of Lewis was the better fighter.

Holyfield is given Bowe by most as his best win, but Mike Tyson should not be forgotten. Tyson was a lot better for Holyfield I than the later versions.
