    Power is not a skill.You don't learn how to be powerful,you either are or you aren't.Punch technique is a skill.A fighter with poor punch technique can still ko an opponent if he's powerful, the same as a light puncher can stop an opponent if he has great technique.

    :lol::lol:

    Flea actually knows abit about the technical side of things, I take his opinion very highly on matters, and he is one of the first I ask to analyse my fights (although he takes his time to do it).

    Stick at it, Flea's going to be the Cus D'Amato of Flealand. He tried to convince a little black kid to box.

    My wee sister, is like a fighter. She begged me for my old hand wraps as she wants to fight. Shes 5 and crazy.

    Thing is when she does play spar with me she just falls over, gets up and punches then takes a dive again.

    Nope, power is most definitly a skill. Sure some guys are naturally powerful and might not have great punching technique but punching hard is still a skill, a knockout punch dosent just happen you need the right range, timing and speed.

    Power is innate, everything you just described,range,timing,and speed are all down to your punch technique and add to your power.

    Not sure which way to fall on this one, but I'd argue that Hearns is a case in point in how power can be 'acheived' as opposed to it being natural.

    (obviously this is all relative, you're never gonna turn Napa into a banger, but I would have thought you could turn an average puncher into a great one with a few pointers)

    That little black kid has it all: looks like Ray Leonard (with better Afro) athletic,brave, tough and has ripped abs at 12!!!!! Him and me nephew get on really well, might try and get em to spar :lol:

    honestly, ima convince him to let me teach him a bit, see if I can get him interested. Anything to get the next generation of the **** pit I live in a bit of discipline :deal

    watch all the 'nonce' comments pile in :rofl Cus is a good
    comparison actually, not stylistically (I go for accentuating any physical gifts the kids I train have, albeit that 3 kids, two of which just wanna learn how to beat each other up 'properly' :lol:) although I genuinely just wanna give the little shits a better chance on the street, and who knows, life if they show any potential.

    This adds to your power, thus making power a skill. You see that?

    :lol::lol:

    If he has half the afro of Gushiken, I'm a fan.

    Flea, do you want to make the world a better place? Love your mother? Dont take drugs (maybe exclude that one for you)?

    You been watching too much Latin Legends.

    :lol::lol:

    Flea, I'll have to come down to Fleaman-land sometime, and see how good a trainer you is?

    :lol:

    you'd be welcome Greg :good Youll have to put
    up with my 'crack' addiction though :deal and I'm sure we could work
    on a few things, and you can test your punches against a famous iron chin.

    And it's not fleaman land (it'd be flealand anyway) it's Thornhill. Total shithole :lol:

    Yeah you can improve power by getting your technique and delivery perfect but like you say,no amount of practice,training or whatever is going to make a light puncher into a banger.You have to have some natural power to begin with.

    And no, it's not as good as Gushikens. That Afro is unattainable, the greatest Afro of all time.
